Thanks for all your responses so far... I could try evaporative cooling since I don't live in a very humid area. The temps get cool at night too, so maybe I wouldn't even need to be replacing the jugs in the middle of the night anyway since the air coming in would be around 60 F. The ballasts...

I have heard that using 220v ballasts is more efficient than the 110v that American households typically support but I never got a good reason why. Do you think there is any truth to that?

I grow 5 large mature plants under each 1000 watt light I have. Sometimes more like 7 or 8 babies have to share one 1000, but as they grow I try to keep it less than 7. For a while I had 7 under each 1000 but they did much better when I moved them to groups of 5, which is the ideal for me.

If they're in 12s, I'd just keep the light off one day when you'd usually have them on (9am to 9pm) and then turn the lights on that nite at 9pm. If you do 24 hours light when they're already in 12, it'll mess up their bud cycle. An extra 12 of dark won't be as bad. :blsmoke:

Ya I agree with chiceh. I keep the lights on all nite and have them off during the day (off 10am-10pm for the buds, 12 noon to 6pm for the veg). This way, the cool nights don't bring down the grow room temps and it stays warm enough when its dark. I'd do 24 of light before I switch unless...

So about 9 days after cutting some early buds they already smell much better and are ready to be cured. You all were right and I just needed to be patient :mrgreen:

What's holding the clones in the bucket lid, candiancowboy? And how do you get them out once they're ready to be planted? I would really like to try that system, heard only good things about it. My clones take a month (!!!!) in rockwool, but I think the problem is my partner's overhydration.....

Lol, yes Tee, in the bathroom as in where the bath is. But we're not using it so there's no excess moisture. I am going to try doing a very slow cure and hopefully this will take care of my weird smell. I'll let you know how it goes...
