Not entirely sure what you mean. The males will not give any seeds, they just give pollen. Pollen floats on over to your females and sticks to their pistols.. and then seeds are made.
Beware, pollen is very good at finding fertile females. make sure your virgin plants are in a totally...
oh, and the seeds will not be feminized. But you're gonna have so many damn seeds, you're not going to care if their femenized or not. They should show sex in 2 weeks after sprouting.
I did something similar to this and got 150 - 250 mature seeds per female. It doesn't matter how many males you have as long as you have at least one, it matters how many females.
Thats lookin great to me. I dont know why you would want to trim the little ones off. As long as they're growing and not ripe I think you should grow them.
Seems like you've done a great job with your lady there.
I used liquid indicator which is only accurate to about .5pH. and I actually tested the first few drops as some run off in the middle and last few to squeeze out.. all tested ~7
The high N suspicion is confusing to me. but I'm "green" enough not to know :)
the light is a 400w HPS.
I saw a chart today that indicated most nute's get locked out at low pH (<~6.4), where as mine is a little high.. which seems less bad. Also, I checked my run off pH. It came in at 7.0...
wow. I never thought about that. I'll have to look into it. I dont know what the PPM was/is. I dont have a meter. Maybe I need one. What concentrations would you consider appropriate?
Thanks for the ideas.
yea, it's kind of weird. I did grow blue dream once before, but it seemed way more robust and grew normally. Same exact conditions.
I appreciate the foliar recommendation. I never really looked into what it was before. it seems like exactally what I need to do.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks.. like I said, I've only used nutes for 2 waterings so far. In the first picture there there are a few spots on the leaf is there any way this is burn? there are some spots on a few of the other leaves as well. If there is no way I'm burning then I would be happy to turn it up. The pH is...
Unfortunately I finally had to swallow my pride with this one and come looking for help :)
I started this Blue Dream plant as a clone, and put her in FFOF soil, which I understand to be the best organic soil commonly available. My intention was to keep her as a mother.. but it might not be in...
mean green:
Shortest is 3"
Tallest is 6"
Bluffin:
I'm Hoping for some great resin production, but I have never grown either of those two before. I'll be sure to report all the details in May.
ok, catching up to the present day.
DAY 17.
Confirmed Sex of all 5 plants.
1, 2, and 3 are female
4 and 5 are male
funny how that worked out. perfectly I would say.
plants are showing great growth and new leaves every single day.
I actually built a box outta 2x4's and hardboard. Maybe a little overkill.. but it's more of a "wardrobe" than a tent.
Bluffin - Thanks for the thoughts and encouragement. I do plan on selectively pollinating branches sometime around week 4. I will select a lot of them.. but keeping them...
Day 1!!
#1 is the first sprout to make it above the surface
Day 2
#'s 2, 3 and 4 all make it up into the sun
Day 3
#5 joins in the fun!
1 - 4 are starting to look a little leggy for little plants.
re-potted all five into final pots, and still waiting on 6 - 9
I am very interested in the breeding aspect this strain. I have not read anything about anyone else breeding them, so I am interested to learn how stable the strain is. I will be breeding 2 females with 2 males, one for each.
By Day B 8 seeds have sprouted.
On March 13 Day D all sprouts...
OK, so I've been read the entire Autoflowering resource guide thread, and I'm ready to make an attempt at these incredible plants. Thanks to all who have made this such a great forum and place of learning.
I ordered a 10 pack of Auto White Russian Lowlife from sensible seeds. 9 looked fine...
Ahhh, i see,
Well.. hopefully they don't go hermi on you again. if they do both become pollinators, as far as I know, there will be no way to know which seeds came from the pollen of which plant.
well.. I never make it down south, but in the bay you're looking at 375 at the high end, down to about 110 for the cheapest.
Probably not much different.
