When you grow up and if your brain cell can manage it, consider being less of a jerk. People like you are quick to jump out there and talk shit behind the wall of anonymity that exists on this site. It's expected and even entertaining but not helpful or necessary. I suggest, weather it be online...
When a plant has a problem, looking at the water you're using is a fundamental step. People on this site with concerns are looking for suggestions that may help them to a solution and options to consider along the way... which is what I offered, a suggestion. You, on the other hand, didn't offer...
Your description made me think N deficiency right off the bat however, I see that the flower tab thing challenges that. Still, it sounds like deficiency. I think you should investigate the reliability of these tabs and their ability or lack of ability to feed. This will help you dtermine if it's...
It's not the ffof. If the leaves nearest to the bulb are the problem maybe it's too close or sometimes touches the light. If it's bottom leaves it could be that the leaves just aren't getting enough light down there at the bottom. If you're indoors with a fan and the cabinet door open heat isn't...
The plants need direct sunlight, at least several hours everyday so move them to a window facing east or west for now. The will die if they don't get direct light soon and it's probably time to transplant to a bigger pot.
The crawl space is a gamble on space because you could have an auto...
You flowered too early, ur supposed to wait til at least 12in tall if not more. You probably also want to double your light and try mostly 6500k cfls during veg, they make the plants bushy with strong limbs. Sorry to be the bearer but I'd start another grow and read up on some grow techniques...
Leaving soil and leaves wet in the dark because you're watering at light out invites fungal attack. It' recommended to wAter when lights go on so excess water can evaporate...
You might not see any difference at all but typically they look a little droopy if given full light immediately and growth slows. After a few days to a week they're back to normal.
Price is the major difference between those two. The FF trio will run over $70; JC will run you $12 for veg and flower nutes. If price matters the choice is clear.
Mix it in. Ocean Forest already has perlite in it but adding some more will only help. 1/3 to 1/4 of your mix should be perlite and perlite helps to aerate your soil so roots can breathe.
Auto strains flower quickly so there's a good chance that you won't even get to use the veg nutes much if at all. For that reason you may not want to spring for the FF Grow Big and could consider something much cheaper, but still good, like Jack's Classic. Of course if your not caught up on cost...
Big Bloom alone won't get you through flowering; it's more of a supplemental nute used to "balance" the palnt. You need FF Tiger Bloom for Flower stage and you mix Big Bloom in with it. The Schultz should be fine to get you through Veg and Grow Big is FF's veg nute. Have you thought about Jack's...
Great post, it was very well done.
I did a few Short Riders this grow. Started out with 2 but when I saw how effortless they were I did 3 more. The plants did exactly what Nirvana said; 100% of what I planted grew to completion. Low odor but still a sweeet smelling plant with not much taste...
As the plant matures it will be able to produce more blades per leaf. Seedlings produce 3 and when you start to see 5 bladed leaves your in veg. In later life they can do 7, 9, or more. The 1st 5 bladed leaf is an indicator that you can start feeding and possibliy pruning.
You don't need light right now and you won't need more than a cfl or two for the 1st couple weeks. Humidity and warmth are what you need so consider losing the fan and covering the containers with plastic wrap until they pop.
Hydro nutes have a lower ph than soil nutes. You might have to do alot of ph work to keep a balanced ph which makes soil nutes seem way more reasonable.
Flower time depends on strain, in a general sense 9-11 weeks. Wait til close to the very end of the flower cycle and cut at the last minute for a heavier hit, be patient. Molasses and steady, quality nutes will get you nice buds but....not without enough light. Get more cfls for the bottom and...
