Got a fotop 800 board + 4 growmau5 pucks, so it's probably not going to compete with those as a main source. For a smaller space or veg though.. Also thinking it could be nice as supplemental lightning from the side or underneath even as PJ Diaz mentions.

Browsing around a local store, some lamps caught my attention.. Not only are they relatively inexpensive, but they seem to be ideal for adding extra light from the side or underneath the canopy. I imagine the 100 watt one could be a nice source on its own for a mother or a gang of seedlings...

I would say that the yield is comparable, but the style of growing differs in a few key areas. SCROG favors one plant, vegged for a longer period and constantly trained to create an even canopy. You can fully train most plants to cover whatever area you have, given enough practice and correct...

I got a Fotop800 board from Meijiu keeping a 2x4 well lit up, fantastic results so far. My last rep i used there (Kitty) apparently doesn't work there anymore. The other rep from Meijiu that reached out, was about 100$ more expensive than Kingbrite's first offer.. super fast responsetime as...

So about the 3x3 I was going to outfit with a new light.. figured the HLG550 or equivalent would be way overkill. Some good tips from @Moflow on using the samsung strips. However.. a hlg 550 v2 equivalent for ~320$ before negotation and shipping, seems almost too good to be true bongsmilie...

Yeah that board is a trooper. Haven't regretted that decision for a second either :)

Been using a fotop800 board with great success for about 6 months now. For a 2x4 it's an ideal light in my opinion. However, I needed a 3x3 tent for primarily drying purposes, and started thinking what potential light I should equip it with... Any updated suggestions :-)?

Just to chime in on the Fotop 800 and temperatures. I got a tiny USB fan that barely moves any air, blowing air over it and i get ~54-55 degrees (c) in the hottest areas, when running the board at 327w. (with a heatsink)

Yeah, noticed mine going from bursting white pistils, to more of a 50/50 mix real fast. Within the last week or so. Looks like the WW will finish a bit earlier than the AK, but hard to tell. Can definitely get behind wanting to clear out the tent for a future project. Accompanying my 3 Wonder...

Alright, cool :-) I got 3 Wonder Women going, two of em manifolded/mainlined. Vegged mine 4 more weeks than I was planning for, which led me to keep some of the shoots... basically got 8 tops and a little field of smaller tops in the middle.. should be on track for a late January harvest...

Looking good bud. As I got a similar setup with a few mainlined plants, did you count the days into flower from flipping to 12/12, or first sign of pistules?
