The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Great honest humble post man.
I appreciate people like you.
When you hear someone is hitting 2g/w+ Everyone always wants proof but when you give the details like you did it puts it into perspective.
Either way tho sounds like a great grow and I’m sure we all would love to see photos.
Can’t wait to get my fotops hooked up and running!
What are you waiting for, get those bad boys up lol
If i remember your setup right it dusts ours.

Just get yourself some L-channel, drill and screws and you can get the frame done in an afternoon. The trick is how to raise and lower if youre in a tent with low access to the back. Get ur macgyver ready. We had it easier with open space.

Been using a fotop800 board with great success for about 6 months now. For a 2x4 it's an ideal light in my opinion.

However, I needed a 3x3 tent for primarily drying purposes, and started thinking what potential light I should equip it with...

Any updated suggestions :-)?
What about 2ft Samsung F strips? They'd work great in a 3 x 3

For a square space logic says 4 boards due to shape.
Yeah, first thought said hlg550 equivalent from Meiju, just feels like a slight overkill for my tent..

this bloke has a similar thing going

https://www.rollitup.org/t/samsung-f-series-led-strip-build-for-a-3x3-links-for-all-parts-inc.960970/

The price would be somewhat similar to a meiju 550 equivalent quantum board though, but I guess they would be comparable in performance.
Although I could just go for a couple less strips to reduce cost and wattage..

I don't think i need more than 240ish watts. Does seem like a nice way to get optimal coverage with less heat issues. Will definitely look into those more than I have.

thanks rocket..i don't care about g/w either..but a photo i would enjoy..as well as see relative size of what a 2 g /w grow
The real kicker isnt g/w, its g/media: 6 plants a tray, 2 gallons of coco, 700grams. I hardly believe it myself. Im not really the master grower, i just help a friend with consulting and sometimes i mind the grow when he and his lady are away. He knows his cultivar as the back of his hand and got his system dialed in.
My only contribution here was learning of leds, vpd and maybe a couple more things here on riu and convincing a hard core hps grobro to change. The latter was harder.

4 qbs on a hlg320 would do the trick.
For strips: Bridgelux Vesta strips comes in 280mm for a strips build. I wouldnt drive them harder than 15w. Theyre usually available on digikey/arrow. They are dual spectrum: 2700/5000k 90 cri. Ive been very impressed by the 2700k 90 cri flower on low wattage. And they would fit in 3 feet.

Here's 200 watts in an 80cm x 80cm tent, just under 30 watts/sq ft
Hlg 240h 48A dimmed to 200 watts and 5 x Samsung lm301b Hinflux 2ft strips

3 x 2ft F strips at 84 watts vegging 6 RQS Royal Gorrilla in 10 ltr pots.

she was on her way home friday cruising on the highway had someone pull out in front of her and cause a small accident.
ended up going to the hospital and getting her and baby monitored

Any far red strips I can attach to the 560 board heatsink and use the existing 240 drivers, there's almost a couple of inches space (length wise) on both sides of the heatsink.
Ok not the same driver and there isn't 2 inches space either.

Any standalone solutions from our Chinese friends that would be suitable for my space (4.5x1.7)?

Thanks for the pictures!

Good stuff over @ https://diyleduk.com. Only has UK plug though and import taxes would probably kill me, but I'm definitely having a look.

Hey guys I got a question.
What works best for hanging these fotop boards?
I was looking at some 16” bayyee hangers but is that going to be long enough considering these things are 3 feet long?
I feel like I’d need at least 18”?
Thanks
