Maybe I am stupid...but I don't go for all the bottle nutes and fancy soil hype I grow my meds in sun and soil. My cost per oz is ~$5/oz [not counting labor]...if you are paying over $50/oz, someone is getting tipped off. ...that being said..... ...our great state's dispensaries are charging...

Grants for solar...IDK check with the electric provider. There are some places off the grid...but you have to manage resources very carefully...and have a back up. Personally, between wind and solar, you should be able to do OK...just my opinion

I happen to live in a cold air drainage. It gets "cold" at night...all the time. We see lows in the low 60's in the hottest months. Frost can happen, in the drainage, from late Oct-mid April. I lived about 500ft lower and got 2 more months of season. And 100ft up out of the drainage is 5`F...

a hard frost will kill. The babies can stand sub-freezing [25`F] and snow. If they are a foot or more tall, they can get frost tender. Yes, covering them can mitigate damage.
