    Quantum Boards burning plants.

I usually don't take pH reading but did for the bigger plant due to the issue. It was on the acidic side for sure. Like I said above, I think the bigger plant got both light burn and nute imbalance (i.e. low pH, lockout, nute deficiency). What I am interested in figuring out is the light burn.

For sure, the big plant got soil issue as she's been living in that 20 gal fabric pots since June this year, that's 5 months. But I have top dressed a couple of time. And yes, the lower leaves got the same interveinal chlorosis and necrosis spots. So, I think the big plant got both light burn...

You are very good with diagnosing. The big one is a very old plant that lived outside in the summer. For some reason, she reveged and was messy; and thus not ready for natural flowering outdoor. So, I brought her in under these QB's. She reveged and grew with super dark leaves proabably due...

    Quantum Boards burning plants.

Yes, I believe that plants grown under QB's need extra Calcium and Mg. But you can't give them too much as that would lead to toxicity. I do give these plants plenty of Calcium now. For sure, QB's can induce symptoms that look like Cal/Mag def. But anyway, like I said, this light burn is...

    Quantum Boards burning plants.

When this issue first occurred, I just went through my normal routine. For example, I transplanted the Super Lemon Haze into the 3 gallon pot and let it veg two more weeks before flowering. So, I am confident it's not the nutrient issue. When I raised this SLH higher, at the same level as the...

Could 4 QB's in the same tent affect the reading? When the HLG or other sources recommend the PPFD range, is that the general reading at the canopy and it doesn't matter how many QB's you have?

See the OP. Bought a PAR meter just for this issue. PAR reading is way below recommended range.

See my reply above regarding environment. I believe I got VPD dialed in.

Day 25C, 65%, living organic soil, so don't know jack about ppm. I am very well versed with VPD and DLI, so believe my environment is acceptable. I've just put another plant in this flowering tent and it's praying all week and growing super healthy. But this plant is sitting on the ground...

    Quantum Boards burning plants.

Yeh, I learned this lesson. Always read stuff with grain of salt. And indeed, let the plants tell you what it wants/or not. So, maybe my concern with the OP is not such a big deal if I just go with what the plants say. But I am curious to see what others who have Chinese QBs think as reading...

I have two strains in the same tent. The light burned both plants as explained in the OP.

Here's a pic. The lighter color one is the one that's burned severely but I have managed to stop or slow down the damage. I got 4 more weeks to go so hopefully there's enough healthy leaves for photosynthesis so she would finish. As for the greener plant (Super Lemon Haze) at the bottom...

Could the 660nm diodes be the culprit? During my first grow, I was using 2 X QB288 v1 without the 660nm diodes and did not experience any burnts during veg or flowering. Now that I added the new QB288's with 660nm diodes, I am burning anything under it easily if I don't watch the distance and...

    Quantum Boards burning plants.

I recalled doing a foliar spray with the lights on because I don't believe that water droplet on the leaves with the lights on would burn the leaves. That's a garden myth. Look outside, it rains and then the sun come out, yet outdoor plants don't burn even in the high desert with intense...

    Quantum Boards burning plants.

I am trying to figure out why the QB's are burning (leaves curl, tips burn and curl down, dry, yellowing, interveinal chlorosis, rust spots) my plants/seedlings even though the lux and PFFD reading are at the lower end of the recommendation, yet my flowering plants are doing just fine as the...

About to put a SinMint Cookie in the flowering tent. Do you think it's worth it to try Plantinum Delights too? Common sense says, the differences between Forum Cut and Platinum are probably not that much.

I'm curious if anyone has ever tried the original Sweet Skunk from Breeder Steve/Spice of Life, Sweet Skunk from PeakSeedsBC, and Island Sweet Skunk from Federation. From my research, Breeder Steve's Sweet Skunk was legendary (in terms of aroma, taste, and effect) here in British Columbia. I...

Recycle living soil. Plant cover crop that survive freezing winter or wait until spring?

Hi, I have a couple of 20 gallon fabric pots that were used to grow a couple nice bushy girls outside this summer. They were grown using Living Organic Soil. Now, I would like to convert and prepare them without tilling so that they would be ready by next June. The plants I grew this summer...

    Curling plants need help!

I forgot to add that once your plants are growing normally, then increase PPDF by the dimmer and/or hanging level slowly every few days until you reach the recommended ppfd value, but use it with a grain of salt. Use your judgment and keep the leaves from drooping, curling, and yellowing by...
