I never buy from seed banks that charge more than $10 for shipping, so that's not quite a good excuse for more than 50% price increase. In the competitive seed market, if you beat the competition with quality seed and price then you are a winner, easily; like how it was before at $40 per...

Ok. $60 is fair and not over priced as I exaggerated. But still, $60 is just normal pricing and I would think twice before buying. Case in point, I was going to order a bunch more but now I am NOT due to price increase. I can find much better value with BeanHoarder Seeds now instead. Sigh...

I'm looking at the peakseedsbc website and looks like Mike had just increased the price per pack to $60. Is this for Canadian too? If so, this sucks! I would think twice about buying Mike's seed now. $40 was a no brainer and I would recommend Mike's seeds whenever I get a chance. But now...

    Seeds in Canada

I don't like TrueNorthSeedBank. They rip you off with $20 shipping some little seeds within Canada. Common! All prices are marked up too. If you really want to buy there, wait for their flash sales that happens like every other weeks or so. For high quality seeds / breeders check these out...

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Indeed, as someone said every grow is a lesson. I will for sure keep you guys/gals posted once the transgender finishes.

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Well, the crazy thing is that those balls are growing pistils and I have not seen any pollens. Of course, I had already chopped off the balls. We'll see if she would throw out more balls and finish.

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

In all seriousness, from what I've read, there a several types of hermies. Balls parts growing outside of the normal female flowers occurring during around mid flower. This type is the safest if you pick off the balls and if no new ones grow, then you are safe to let the lady finish. The...

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Actually, the balls grow in clusters hanging off of a few tiny branches. So, I just cut off those tiny branches. I'll keep you guys posted of my risk taking adventure with male balls. LOL

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Thanks guys, but I will take my chances. There are plenty of reports with regards to plants going hermie, but if I pick them off, spray some water, and be vigilant of new balls, then I think I'll be fine with letting her finish. Here's an example of SLH stopped putting out new balls. And this...

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

What I don't get is why do these supposedly male parts have stigmas growing out of them? Look at the last photo. Male balls are not supposed to have stigmas or pistils right?

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Well, if they stop growing male parts, then I should be fine. Like I said, there are balls on only a few small areas. I have researched this and others have picked off balls and let the plant ride. In the end, all was good.

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Thanks for the warning. However, there are only a few tiny branches that show the male parts. I'm going to chop those off and keep an eye out for any new male parts. If they start to go hermi at full force, then I will remove the plant.

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

Even if those structures got stigmas growing out of them? Well, in case that it is hermie, I plan to pick off the male parts and let her ride. Can I let the stems with the male parts sit i some water and then collect the pollens once they open up? Also, after I pick cut off the small branch...

Hermie? Ball-like structures with stigmas growing out of it

I have a Super Lemon Haze that's been flowering from seed for about 5 weeks. At the 4th week, I noticed these ball-like structures that look like male balls but there are stigmas (pistils/hair) that are growing out of it. It's really bizard. From far away, they look like balls for sure, but...

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

Here's a photo of my dying seedlings. The biggest plant is the clone that was just transplanted from peat pellet to HP Promix only soil. Do you think these seedlings will recover?

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

Yeh, I know. Currently I have both seedlings and young clones dying so that's why this thread got them all mixed up. But I think I have found the culprit and thanks to you guys for chiming in. The culprit is probably the EWC and Kelp Meal that i added. We'll see whether the seedlings and...

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

I went through and transplanted all of my dying seedlings to new solo cups with HP Promix only. I noticed the soil from the original solo cups went anearobic with that nasty smell probably due to the EWC, kelp, and being in the dome too long (no evaporation). When I transplanted the seedlings...

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

Thanks for sharing as this sounds really interesting. Have you done a side by side study of a batch of plant using regular water vs the same batch (clones) watered with this method? Update: Reading your posts again regarding this "dirt in water" method, as mentioned, this is basically compost...

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

Yeh, and I kept them in the dome with super high humidity so the soil never had a chance to dry out thus creating anaerobic soil and that seemed to slowly kill the seedlings/young clones. I kept them in the dome for a few days thinking that would give the root more time to grow as the leaves...

Rooted clones in peat pellet kept dying after transplanted to solo cups

No, usually I just use straight up HP Promix and had past success. I can add some rice hulls which I should for a bit more aeration. Now, if you let the roots grow out of the peat pellet, wouldn't they die as they are exposed to light and air? I have had clones with many roots poking out and...
