1000w lights 16" doesn't seem high to me, in fact I would prefer if they where more like 24" away. Some of the tops got burned alread, you can see that in this pic (canoing/ light bleaching)

Interested ina response to this as well. I have avid but doesn't say anything about using as soul drench actually says not to use in irrigation water but idk. I have used azamax with good results before.

I buy local but I'm sure it's online somewhere here is a pic of the bag for reference. Also like I said fabric smart pots with regular fine perlite works great to, I cut my flood heights down to about 1/3 to 1/2 up the pots and it worked great for years for me.

Thanks, I run my pumps 5x for 30 min in a 12 hour cycle and once in lights off for 30min. I used smart pots in flood trays with regular fine perlite for a while and it worked great too. Once you harvest toss it out and wash the pot then ready for another it's so easy.

It is chunky perlite, no rocks very light, cost effective and disposable which is why I love it.

Rockwood is a pain in flood and drain so take it from me, your plants are over watered for sure ether switch to pots with hydroton or lower your flood level to where it only touches the bottom maybe 1/4" of the cubes and don't flood a whole lot. Looks like heat stress to me, whats your room temps like? What kind of light and distance? Do you have anyway of measuring canopy temps? These are all crucial. Do you have intake exhaust fans?

Take a cup and keep hand feeding the plant with nute soulution from res until you have a much larger root structure than one or two roots dangling in the water. Once roots can actually drink from res all will be well im sure.
