Anyone tried using Kessil H150's as side lighting? The 150's seem to be perfect to light up lower shaded foilage. I imagine they'd work well as long as they are not closer than 12".

Lol Im too lazy! Ocean forest mixed with perlite is all Im doing. It works great. Although thanks for rhe tip on the large course perlite. That is an investment I will make other than a bag of happy frog.

Have you seem the Gorilla Lite Line? They are thinner and cheaper, minus the extension kit. Still probably much better than competition.

I use advanced nutrients. I do not use their ph perfect stuff, so I cannot speak about grow, micro, bloom. I use organics, and have had good results. I use the two part Iguana Grow and Bloom as base nutrients. They work great. I also like the Organic B, and Nirvava as a bloom enhancer.

Thanks. I do have the fan on a fan speed controller. So if I stop airflow for long periods, CO2 is eventually depleted and growth slows or suffers? Sounds like I need to keep the fan on 24-7.

Really it seems that not using nutrients in every feed is fairly common practice. I thought it was in order to avoid burning and overfeeding.

I am in ffof soil with perlite. I feed organic base nutrients. My supliments are organic too.

I am in soil, so I let the soil dry up a good 4 days or so between watering. Drying is slow with led, small fan, and temps of 70. Nutrient strength in 1/4, first feed.
