Quality tent brands for new growers

I have been researching tent brands for a good week now, its hard for me to trust reviews that are posotive at some points. A lot of them will have mixed reviews as well and I cant find a good tent thread, so I thought I would.

I have a 600 watt, looking to prob get a 4x4. Cant afford gorilla or the like to begin with as I imagine others experience as well. I was looking at apollo tents, as they r around 100$.I looked up videos on them and thry look solid enough to not crash on the plants.

Any on else have any comments on cheaper tents that will be solid atleast for a harvest or two.

Also, I have a phantom II Digital, can I use metal halide without causing any damage. I know it says you can I tho i read you can cause problems tho?

I am 600 as well and I just ordered the 60x60x80 tent from appollo. im very happy with it, its a thick material, lots of access ports for venting, and its pretty damn sturdy if you ask me. and I have my light hanging from the upper cross bar in the tent. don't be afraid to buy the appollo. think I paid like 150 for mine. if you look at my signature down below on the 12/12 from seed thread you can see the setup

To start all you need is good quality zips, heavy duty flaps covering zips with Velcro for light leaks,
A removable floor, two fan ports with draw strings and sufficient length for light leaks and a power port with light proofing, and a sturdy frame and Mylar walls. If it meets all those criteria it will work. They are all mostly out of the same factories in China anyways I promise you.
For someone starting out it is fine and you don't need a rolls Royce to learn to drive so you don't need a expensive tent to learn to grow. My first tent was a Seahawk, cost me 120.00
Aussie and it worked great.
A lot of the higher priced ones are more about marketing and prestige, some are great but be careful you could be paying more for the same tent with premium trim.

Something I learned, be sure you get a tent with strong poles, 22mm or 25mm and welded corners will see you right. Nothing worse than hanging a carbon filter and watching the poles bend.

I get it I understand cheap tents will can cause disastrous consequences if used too long i just want to use it for a harvest. If i had to wait for a gorilla i wouldn't stArt for a month!

4x4 apollo hold up my 600 watt and semi heavy radiant 8' reflector? ?

I emailed them asking for it. They have metal poles and connectors. What should i look for?

I wanted to beef the tent up anyways if thats possible

with metal poles, i would hope it could hold at least 40lbs. have you weighed how much you plan on hanging from it?

i bought a gorilla b/c it is the most lightproof of all. that was my major selling point.

Its 26.5 and said 29 lb shipped. I doubt it'll weigh more then 40 total. I wish i could beef itup myself is that possible?

not the weight of the tent. you want to find out much weight it can hold. gorilla claims you can do a pullup on theirs.
