So the coco is high 6 then? Seems about right really.

That's why you test composition rather than individual components. Trich loves 6.6.

    Coco is variable.

Ok. Consider injecting the bags directly from your lc. No hood necessary. Cook the bags, seal them and then inject them w 20 cc.

At the wholesaler level. Problem is tobasco sauce vs ketsup. You put ten drops on your pizza and then put the bottle away. Maybe two tobacco bottles a year. You (well...some folk) put ketsup on everything. Lots of folk smoke half an oz a week, nobody eats half an oz of fungus a month...

Gypsum just doesn't cut it. I use it to sweeten mixtures, giving them calcium but it acts too slowly for anything else and it barely moves the needle anyway.

Pickling lime. Works great, no magnesium.

The point is concentration. Hence the grid on the plate. Also you get an idea of what sorts of contams there are.

Oh man, you are missing valuable info. A box of ph strips, what, 4.5 to 10? Costs a few bucks and will give you a new view of your grows.

I suggest a sectored dish with mea placed around the area and opened for documented times. You will get a good idea of the biology in there.

Well, if your particular pheno is robust it shouldn't make any difference, as long as they don't knit you can always shake them again.

Looks like maybe the tops dry too fast, the air hole is too big? Years ago I first tried filter disks. I didn't know you has to use the canning lids with a hole drilled in them. They looked a lot like yours. What happens if you shake it again now?

Ye Yep, I'd cut the top off and use it. I don't understand tho, you don't shake your jars?

I've been growing for precisely 50 years now. 7.9 or even as high as 8.3 is where mycelium will grow but trich has real trouble. Of course the acidity will creep up as you go and that is the point

Well, I don't know if it's "old tech" but it is a gamble and not as efficient as slurry or concentrated lc. I haven't done anything but lc for a long time. Slurry is dangerous as well being that it will be exposed to open air while still being sterile. Jars are OK but they aren't as cooker...

Anybody growing mushrooms willing to talk???

The whole point is to expand the mycelium in the cheapest, fastest and safest way possible. Now, there is no better way than monoculture. This means you can Taylor all your methods to a single "phenotype". The organism will fruit in predictable ways and for a predictable number of flushes...

Sure, but the dirt was in there. Why bother?

I'm glad, remember the method is only for first time application and not for any sort of bulk. I may post one of those eventually.
