    Will plant preflower automatically???

If a regular photo period plant is vegged long enough, will plant automatically preflower with maturity? Or does preflower only begin once 12/12 is initiated? Wondering if the transition to flowering will be faster, if the plant isn't forced.

    Yellowing on bottom leaves???I

If you have a healthy plant, maybe 5-6 nodes, but the very bottom leaf set has slowly gone from a lighter lime green to yellowed, is that a sign she ready for a light feed? The cotledyns are also yelow just below that...but thats normal right? All other growth upward is dark green and healthy...

New grower need some insight ASAP plz

Lookin good. My advice would be to not just iniatiate flower. If you continue to veg your plant a bit longer it will naturally begin to preflower. I used to just have a fixed amount of time...like 30 days etc. Now I wait to see the signs of preflower...the transition is faster into blooming if...

Is it safe to trim auto's??

No problem. Like everyone, I aim for big flowers. Light must penetrate as deep into the canopy as possible. However, lots of fan leaves can be bent to the side, bent under, and bent around bud sites....without need to stress the plant. Some will pop back, just retuck them so they stay out of the...

Is it safe to trim auto's??

I get great yields too by trimming barely anything. Autos included. If its not a huge fan leaf over a flower site it stays. Or if a leaf can be tucked away before being cut off I do that first.

    Is she ready for nutes?

Yes Id give them 1/4 strength grow nutrients now, and also add cal mag at half strength (I use distilled water). Definitley start that regimen every other plain watering.

Is it safe to trim auto's??

Nope....leaves equal more solar cells to take it more light energy to fuel mpre bigger flowers. If light doesnt seem to be penetrating enough trying tucking leaves in. Bushy and green is good!

    Question about feeding?!

Its a little on the small size but looks healthy. At that size I usually have two 100 watt CFL (23 actual 5000K temp) close in proximity within 1" of the seedling. I also have lights on 24/7 to speed up development. As for nutrients dont do it! I usually dont start grow nutrients until 30 days...

Beware of Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil

Damn skippy. I dont use ocean forest anymore. The last 3 bags were lots of big wood chips, and other filler crap. I have been using happy frog for now, as there is less stuff in it. I am looking into other ready made soils like roots organic as well. Any suggestions for good soils With the...

    Photo Vs. Auto questions

Ive grown autos a few times and the smoke was nice. Didnt see an overall drop in quality over regular photo plants. I liked the ease of growing autos. Not having to switch and wait for flowering to slowly initiate. I just run autos on 20/4 from seed to harvest, with regular feed, water, feed...

At what point do you decide that your plant is ready for blooming nutrients?

No problemo. My goal is always healthy green plants throughout bloom. My last run didnt even show any yellowing or fading! What I have learned is...... that you dont want to cut that extra nitrogen in the grow nutes all of the sudden! Instead, your girls need to be slowly weened off the grow...

At what point do you decide that your plant is ready for blooming nutrients?

I like to veg them a month or so. By is time I have gradually worked my way up to maybe halff strength grow nutrients. At this point I switch to 12/12. I continue to to increase grow nutrients up to maybe 3/4 strength through preflowering or the first week of 12/12. As preflower ends and the...

    Any blueberry growers??

Yup all the time. Favorite strain to date. I like dutch passions bluberry. She is a slow girl....and I usually wont even think of harvest before 10 solid weeks of flower. I also find that she seems to thrive on an organic diet, and is a moderate feeder. The payoff in this strain is the quality...

    Thinking about LED

I like to shoot for a 2.5 to 3 square footprint. This equates to one plant directly under each H350. I hang them about 24" from tops and gradually lower them to about 14" as plants mature. I use the smaller H150's as side lights (12" from foilage) and hit both plants from the left and right.

    Thinking about LED

I use Kessill Led's. I am very pleased with the results as far as yield and quality. I isially do 2-3 plants, not for large scale grows...unless you have more led's. Setup: Kessil H350 Deep Purple Kessil H350 Magenta Kessil H150 Blue wide angle Kessil H150 Red wide angle

Should I PH water for soil???

I have always used distilled water straight out of the jug on plants. Recently I got a PH pen and measured the PH of my distilled water. Looks like about 6.8. Should I go rough the trouble of adding a little PH down for better nutrient uptake? What os the best PH range for soil plants?

    Germination trick.

I have tried several methods. However this works 100 percent for me. I have a tiny heat mat (the window seal kind) 7 watts. I fill one of those clear 6 oz. plastic cups with my soil and perlite mix. Moisten soil and stir the mix, so its slightly damp. Then I pop a hole in the soil with a pencil...
