To flip or not to flip.. that is the question..

Just to be clear--you are saying to top each nodal branch? So, 20 or so at the very top?

To flip or not to flip.. that is the question..

Top em to even out the taller ones? Take off the top couple of inches? It's ok to top them as you are changing into flower?

To flip or not to flip.. that is the question..

Hey good people. I was planning to veg for 6 weeks, but plants have really taken off in the last week or so. Was then wanting to fill the front of the lower scrog, but now thinking it might be a good time to make a move. Whatcha think?

Low calcium well water in organic grows

OK. Thanks! SO, for now, blow off any PH adjusting. Would you be adding Calmag because of the low calcium in the water? Part of my reasoning was to bring up the stability of the PH. With that low of hardness, the PH moves all around. I have a bit of dolemite that has been in my soil for quite...

Thanks. If anything, I want my PH to be lower. I have some dolemite in my soil mixes

Low calcium well water in organic grows

Hello all, I'm lucky to have some pretty good well water. It comes out of the ground between 7 and 7.2. It has a low calcium content. Water is around 75-80PPM with most of that being calcium. I am currently growing indoors and using an automated halo system to water my plants as they are...

Amazing how quick they grow in mid-late veg! I'm just over a month. Looking to fill a little more area before I flip. 1/14, 1/21, 1/26

OK. I just top dressed with the ratios you gave per plant. It was a bit confusing and I wanted to get it into the soil/. I figured you had offered your advise and moved on(grateful for it!) Should i try to take some off of the pots or am i OK leaving with the ratios?(basically 1C EWC, 1/2C kelp...

I'm not a scientist, but I am someone that likes the process and likes to tinker(especially early on). I would imagine that I would find a good tack that is repeatable and then maintain an openess to new info and techniques as they present themselves. I got a tea bubbler, so I'm gonna mess...

I'm curious to your use of Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom, both of which I have, and was going to use before turning this direction. Part of what initially turned me away was the idea of flushing them while in the pots. I'm using 7G airpots in a 3x3 tent with a scrog net. I have saucer below them...

Again, thanks! As far as water. We have pretty awesome well water. It is right around 7.0 and has low minerals. The only issue is that similar to RO water it doesn't hold PH too well. I have all kinds of testing equipment(I love that!) so i feel pretty solid on water I'm already in my final...

Head spins—— Thanks for the info on the yucca. That makes sense. I didn’t know that the amendments wouldn’t have an effect for a month. I thought it was 2 weeks or so. I’m flipping in about 2 weeks. I’m thinking that your soil is probably fundamentally richer than mine. Obviously I’m learning...

Man. Lots of good info, but as per the thread topic, completely contradicting the other info! I guess this is the learning part. I do like to tinker; at least at this point. For now, I will be growing in the 7G pots. With that in mind, I’m gonna need to supply some additional nutrients to them...

If you are using the Koots soil, are you doing the transplant thing where you layer it on the bottom of the pot with a less hot soil? I read a couple of threads of people saying the soil didn't work well in smaller(under 10G pots) and that people complaining about it not working for them weren't...
