I kind of get it. I grow all kinds of vegetables I don't eat. I don't have the same love for them - I do enjoy growing them... it doesn't even make sense to me that I wouldn't be more into it.

use a smart pot - not the ground - and put it on top of the ground, IF you know the soil isn't being moistened by that brackish water. If it is, put the pot on a rock or something. burying the pot will strip the pot's potential to drain as efficiently - with that much moisture it's entirely...

Garlic's pushing it to the max! thanks for showing everybody how it can be done - you don't have to have cooperative weather, just a few simple things really to finish plants that wouldn't otherwise. It's not cheating, it's adaptation!

I grow hydro in a toilet and use the flush and drain method. my plants get flushed three times a day! my weed tastes like shit!

cool greenhouse man. your pots are larger than I would start my seeds in - at that size you probably don't need to water every 2 days unless your temp is way high and your humidity way low - not likely in a greenhouse. I am terrible at knowing how much water to give plants at any stage in life...
