Harvest of my modified Aeroflo2 60 LED grow..

Whoops almost missed this one, sorry you lost all those plants, that sucks. Looks like you got some pretty nice results, though! Some nice purple on the one on your phone, looks tasty. Do you notice any difference between the LED/HPS grown bud?

Hermi? Swollen calyx? What are these green pods?

Yep that first one looks like a big old male flower that hasn't opened yet, try to get rid of it carefully. The other ones in the buds look like smaller male flower that have already opened. Sorry, I had a hermie in my batch I killed about 6 weeks in, got a few seeds in the others, but not too...

To trim or not to trim? *scientific facts only*

Why would you bother collecting all these "scientific" "facts", when all your answers are already in one book: the Bible. Cannabis is clearly a seed-bearing plant, which God has given us for food. So, if you eat the leaves after you remove them, you are in the clear! (sorry... thanks mr sunshine)

Where the heck to start!? (Sorry)

Hello, I just got started a few months ago myself and have been happy with ebb and flow. I was researching the various methods... DWC seems the simplest, but more prone to root problems if you don't have your system dialed in, DTW seemed too manual, drip systems in buckets was a strong...

    CO2 Advice

My 5x5 tent uses a 20lb tank in about a month, the air is purging about every 45 minutes. It seems fine for now. If you just want to try it out, it seems like tanks are a better option... you can probably sell your tank for 2/3 cost if you decide to upgrade to gas. Also, you're going to want to...

    stondest's grow

Hey everybody, seems like it might be better just to keep my updates to one thread, so here we are. Tray 1 is now at 58 days, I started flushing a couple days ago, maybe chop this week? Atomic Haze 7 - seems like the best pheno: Atomic Haze 1: Atomic Haze 4: Shishkaberry: Tray 2 is on...

    Tray 1 Day 37, Tray 2 Day -1

Just to follow up on this, since I wasn't sure nesting mesh pots would be the best idea. I can see some vigorous new root growth coming out of the 8" circular outer pot now, so it seems like this technique works. I'm not seeing anything on the 9" square pots yet, but there is quite a bit more...

Plants In Trouble - Bloom Phase

Your EC sounds better, but your ph is now on the high side. You definitely want below 6 for hydro, usually 5.8 or so is the sweet spot. Damage done to leaves doesn't repair, it will either stop as you correct the problem, or will get worse. Look to new growth to see if you've corrected a...

Danks Update! come on friends.. take a look! let me know what you think?

Why hello fellow coffee roaster! It depresses me to think most people have never had fresh coffee. It goes stale so quick! I've been roasting a few times a month for years now, it also makes a great gift. Those are some wimpy Sweet Marias bags though, I prefer the 5 pounders : ) Anyway haven't...

10 Year old seeds. Will They germinate? Lets find out!

About 1/3 of my 8 year old seeds popped a few months ago. They were stored in rice at room temperature. My guess is that you'll have some of them pop, but don't count on too many.

    Tray 1 Day 44, Tray 2 Day 7

My first "harvest" -- the evil hermie. Tried some, it's not great, although it does work, it has a weird aftertaste. Certainly wasn't done growing nor curing though. Hopefully the rest turns out better, more updates on that soon.

Plants In Trouble - Bloom Phase

I suggest dropping the ppm scale, too confusing, just use EC. And if your EC is up at 2.4+, that is really high. I recommend dropping down to 1.9, and you may want to flush them a bit as well.

No need to worry, looking good. The beginning can be slow, don't worry. Once the second leaves finish forming it will pick up.

New Hydro Grower ... Need Nutrient Assistance

I don't think there is really any kind of Agent Orange situation, lol. The main point of contention seems to be price. Probably the bigger decision rather than brand is if you want to attempt 'organic' nutrients.

Need help with distance of light away from plant.

When using HPS, the general rule is the closer the better, but if it's too hot for the back of your hand after a couple minutes, it's too hot for the plants.

Hi from an aussie old timer

Hello and welcome. Yeah, the feminized seeds can be expensive. I have not tried buying any myself yet, but Nirvana, Attitude and Herbie seem to be used by people around here. Good luck!

New Hydro Grower ... Need Nutrient Assistance

Welcome! As someone else just getting started recently I suggest you just pick a brand you can buy easily and get started. Like you've noticed this seems to be an area of contention, everyone is going to have their own opinion. Strains are also going to respond differently to different...

    ph drift .....

Each nutrient will have add it's own component toward the total reservoir ph, either up or down. This will also act as a "buffer" against additional additives. Your water starts at a very low ppm as you see, you add nutrients and that ups the ppm, which also adjusts the ph. So now you have to...

When do you start to flush based on tricomes

From what I gather there's not a great way to tell until you've gotten some experience with the strain, and flushing early can force it. So probably the safest way in terms of potency would be to wait for amber and minimize/eliminate flushing time. I'm getting close myself on my first run and...
