Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

I would start them at 70% and drop .5% the first week, then 1% from there until 62%. I’d let them sit there for at least a week, then depending on how you like them check and maybe drop to 58% for a few days before jarring/bagging if they need it.

They should/ They should be fine putting them in a few days later. I would maybe wait if the buds in the cooler are almost finished, but a few days to a week will be fine, it will just extend the dry of the first ones in a bit.

I’m not sure exactly what you mean here. Do your plants need longer in the cooler, or growing?

Where is the original power cord for the dehumidifier? There should have been a wall wart type transformers that came with the dehumidifier, or a power supply board inside. The TEC will not work if you use that AC power cord, you are correct.

Ok, glad it works for you. When I tried it, it did not, and going by all the people that use the lotus cure method I assume it doesn’t work for most people. Perhaps it’s your local temps and humidity that work with a regular fridge. You should start a thread and explain what you do so others...

    Humidifier/Echaust question

I keep an eye on VPD, but it when it comes mid to late flower I keep temps high 70s to low 80s and rh 45%-55%, lowering rh as they get closer to harvest and denser. Perfect VPD is great, but also great for mold in late flower and not worth the risk imo.

Same here. I’m still stuck in a hotel, I watched tv for a bit then went to bed. I love the west coast and have had a great time, but I’m ready to get home now.

    SIP’n with Hook Daddy

I was fighting high humidity and heat, so by covering the SIPs the dehumidifiers run less and also helps the room stay cooler. I will likely uncover them once the colder weather gets here. I have well water.

Anyone use "Hi Grade THC analyzing scope"?.

RSC says “ . A weakness is its susceptibility to botrytis.” in its description of deep chunk. https://therealseedcompany.com/product/deep-chunk-heirloom-strain-ibl-cannabis-seeds/

    How much longer

This I will agree with, if you flush early you ruin any chance of a good harvest, and if you flush on time it makes no difference.

    How much longer

Your plants look great, and are very close to being in the harvest window. I would personally wait another week or so. As to flushing and dark before chop it’s not proven and disputed if it makes a difference. Don’t bother asking, you won’t get a definitive answer. Try both ways for yourself...

Still no plant pics this week, but I’ve been assured they are all still alive. With any luck I’ll get home next week (finally) and give them some attention. I had harvested half of the Puck, the other half should be ready when I walk in the door, so I’ll get home to immediate trim jail time...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I don’t use a tent, but am in VA and have 3 17 gallon SIPs in a ~15’x9’ room. I cover them now, without them covered I need to run a dehumidifier even during winter.

I agree it’s not a burger to make a weekly habit of eating, but once in a blue moon I’ll make an exception. Now I’m getting hungry again.

One more week until I’m back home with the girls. The wife assures me they are doing fine, but then she always says that, I guess there’s no point in worrying. To calm my fears I went to Hodad’s for lunch. A great laid back atmosphere, I loved the music as much as the food. And the...

Well, since I can’t post any bud or bong pics this week, this was my day. Drove down the southern CA coast. Stopped by Salt Creek. And a quick stop at Laguna to check out some of the north coves. Then to the original Wahoos for some blackened mahi tacos with extra green sauce. And a...

It’s just for work, but a pain in the butt time to have to leave. Then again the weather is nice, I already harvested the first half of the Puck and I can control the koolatron from anywhere. The other half will be ready when I get home even if not watered, the SIPs will go a while and it was...

Well, I’d post my plant pictures but got sent on an emergency trip to the left coast for a couple weeks. I hope my wife remembers to water. At least the weather is nice, I forget how beautiful SoCal is some times.

Lol, I won’t dry them too fast, I’ll just keep dropping by .5% until 68% or so, then by 1% after that until 60%, so that’s around 16 days, then they’ll sit for a while until I’m ready for the next harvest. This time before bagging them up I’ll probably drop to 58% for a couple days, then bag it...

It wasn’t packed super full, I put it at 72 to start and see how it ran, and it worked just fine, so stepping down .5% from there. If it would have froze up I would have bumped it up to 76% and seen how that went.
