continued from Part 1. . . Key points to composting There are two keys to getting compost to complete in a year: Turning da pile, and moisture. Composting - 2 of 3 - Composting Bins and Tips (Part 1)

OK, so my post is limited to 1000 characters, so i'll have to break this out into Part 1 and Part 2. Here is Part 1: There are as many different types of composting systems as there are people composting, so I'm not going to get into any specifics on how to build your own. There are so many...

It is autumn in New Jersey and my plant is on my deck. All the leaves are falling off just like the trees in my yard. It has lots of medium bud'

Our friends at Advanced Nutrition (i'm being facetious, here, so please, no flaming. ) has a good article on soil/nutrition lockout and well worth reading. https://www.advancednutrients.com/articles/nutrient-lockout-prevent-diagnose/ I would venture a guess that this issue is more...

    Composting - 1 of 3 - Composting and Benefits

No, this is INCORRECT! you must harvest the leaves in the early spring when they're still up in the trees. ;)   i like using peat moss. don't tell anyone, but i use miracle grow (you know, the one that everyone hates on this forum) instead of peat moss. ;) yeah, that's...

It is autumn in New Jersey and my plant is on my deck. All the leaves are falling off just like the trees in my yard. It has lots of medium bud'

I'm just North of ya up in Toronto, and my one plant is doing just fine (with no leaf falleth offeth, or yellowing), so it's definitly not the Fall temperatures. There's a few other posts on this issue, and my neighbor even has this same problem with two of his plants (one is doing...

    Composting - 1 of 3 - Composting and Benefits

I'm really into composting. I put as much time, love, and energy into composting as i put into my plants. there are so many benefits of including Leaf Composting (LC) into your growing regime and into your soil, both outdoor and indoor (unless, that is, you're using a hydroponic system, then...

    This year's grow

yeah, i'm finding that out. thanks for the advice to keep on growing. <thumbs up> it's gotten as low as 49 one night, and getting down to 50 now, on average, and the plant's still looking healthy and happy, and I'm getting nice progress with the buds and trich's.

    This year's grow

We had another storm here about 2 weeks ago, with hail, downpours and close to gale-force winds, and almost all the trich's got washed away. I just about cried. the buds and leaves had to start all over again. luckily they did (as the temps up here in canada are dropping at night), and now...

    This year's grow

I'm in the middle of 2 consecutive days of heavy rains and downpour, so i'll be damned if after all that love, affection, time and energy that i put into my plant this year, that i'm going to let all those trichomes get washed away just 3 day before harvest. >:(>:(>:( I therefore threw...

Toronto autumn 2021 - how are your plants doing?

I'm likely going to try planting a couple in Pots next year (so i can locate them to a sunnier location, as well as bring them into the garage when severe storms hit - i had a severe downpour with hail and tornado-gust winds about two weeks ago, and it just about washed off all the trichomes...

Toronto autumn 2021 - how are your plants doing?

@ VolimPicke It could be that - soil lock. Growing in pots can be a bit trickier if you tend to be an over feeder or an under feeder, that's why i grow in the ground (with a good mix of compost), as the ground is more forgiving and self correcting. If you suspect that you've been feeding the...

Toronto autumn 2021 - how are your plants doing?

I use it too, at about half the recommended dilution, every 2-3 days, and my one plant is looking good without any yellowing or signs of stress.

    This year's grow

we drive in kilometers, but i have to convert to Miles Per Gallon to know what mileage i'm getting for my car. the KM equivalent is based on some formulation or derivative of L's/100KM. What kind of a hair-brained system is that, I asks ya? Why didn't they just keep it simple, like KM's per...
