    Humidifier/Echaust question

This is from Mitch Westmoreland's super videos on cannabis cultivation. He's a PhD student studying under Bugbee and he released a video about a year ago (title in the screenshot) in which he discusses four major topics re. cannabis, on of which is temperature. The graphic below is from his...

    Humidifier/Echaust question

Amen! It's amazing to see the amount of mishegas about VPD. It's not just here on RIU. I frequent another cannabis site and people get completely twisted around the axle there, as well. VPD is not the Holy Grail. It's just a way of combining temperature and RH to help plants grow well. If VPD...

    Humidifier/Echaust question

The key issue for bud rot is temperature. When temps fall <75, that's favorable for botrytis. Another way to reduce the chances for bud rot is to use a silica supplement. The addition of silica improves the strength of cells and will tend to stave off mold and mildew.

    Trellis advice

The only time I defoliate is when leaves are damaged/dying or when they're blocking air flow. In mid-flower, or so, I'll remove branches at the bottom of the plant that are "thinner than a pencil" because those branches tend to have very few buds and those buds don't develop (they're larf)...

Ac infinity users - looking to switch to all their products , and want to know what’s needed and what’s not

With the Thermoforge, it looks/looked like you might be able to set it up as a closed system but, alas, no joy. :-(

Ac infinity users - looking to switch to all their products , and want to know what’s needed and what’s not

The Thermoforge actually exists?! I'm all in with both AC Infinity and Kasa. They work like a charm. Fans, humidifier, and heater with the C69 Pro +. I started with Inkbirds and a Pulse but retired them when I found the AC Infinit gear. How well does the Thermoforge work for you? What...

    Humidifier/Echaust question

A grow space should have fans blowing on the plants as well as a fan to evacuate the air in the tent. Fans blowing on the plants will make the plants stronger and will ensure that the plants have an adequate supply of CO2. Plants take in CO2 during photosynthesis and if that supply of CO2 is...

    Small light recommendation

I can see how putting a tent in an inhabited room would boost CO2 in the grow because that's the same concept as adding CO2 to the lung room. The overarching issue is that air in the tent "should" be changed two times per minute so you either have to boost the CO2 level in the enclosing room...

    Small light recommendation

Right, seal up the room that contains the grow tent and you're good to go. Homes in the frost belt have basements so that makes it easy In warmer parts of the country that means giving up a room above ground and in a lot of newer developments, that's just not going to happen. :-(

    Question Re; Auto’s

I agree with @Phytoplankton. Autoflowers are a hybrid cannabis plant. We know that crop yield increases in an almost linear manner as light increases. The biggest yields I've had were from autos. I do all my grows at >1k µmol. Photos are grown using a 12/12 photoperiod in flower in most cases...

    Small light recommendation

Sorry for the mistake. The XS3000 Pro is on Amazon. It's 2 XS-1500 Pros held together with a bracket-that's the one I was thinking of. The spectrum is a little heavy on the blue for my taste and it's not quite at 1kµmol but it's only $200. That's lots of bang for the buck.

    Small light recommendation

If only! Running CO2 would give a big boost in yield but I don't think it can be done in a tent. :-(

Finally, an effective and SAFE grow tent heater

I drank the AC Infinity Koolaid a couple of years ago and have zero regrets. I started with Pulse + Inkbird + no name humidifier but retired that gear as AC Infinity products became available. Their C69 Pro + is running two fans, an inline fan, the heater, and their humidifier, and, via an...

Ok, best guess, how much dried bud?

The % is on a couple of threads here on RIU and I think it's in the 33% range, so the "9 ounce" answers you were getting are going to be pretty close. The biggest issue is how much moisture you take out of the crop. This topic hasn't been posted to the other site where you posted this question...

Could someone please tell me what's wrong with my plant.

Glad that you found it helpful. I took a few screenshots when I watched that video. The video that Westmoreland released a year ago is a superb. I've spent a lot of time learning about grow lighting but, if someone wants just to know "do this", the 49 minute video is a gold mine. Same...

    Small light recommendation

All of those plants have characteristics of plants that aren't receiving a lot of light - tall and slender, very few branches, large leaves, and significant internodal space. The Vipar XS 1500 Pro is a great light for a 2' tent and you can get the XS 2500 for a very good price that will light...

Is my plant stretching? And is my soil PH to ok or too high? GSK Autoflower

Nice looking plant. Needs a lot more light. 13k lux is nothing near 500µmol. The factor that will get you in the ballpark is 0.015 and works out to µmol. You might want to check over the document I wrote (attached) to see what conversion factors are used. A "standard" white LED is 0.015. I...

Can I start a grow (photoperiod) with a bad light

And you can raise the light to 18" or more and still get 1kµmol on your canopy and still keep the temperature at the canopy level <78°. That's the whole trick - getting lots of light on the canopy while keeping temperature of the tops of the buds <78°. Almost any modern grow light will get...

Can I start a grow (photoperiod) with a bad light

The superb Vipar XS 1500 Pro is available for $90. The purpose of the vegetative stage is to allow the plant to build its "infrastructure". If the plant doesn't get much light, it is impossible for it to grow the roots, branches, and leaves that will result in anything but a mediocre crop...

Could someone please tell me what's wrong with my plant.

Westmoreland advises up to 85° until the second week in flower. Then drop to 78-80. Those are the temps when using CO2. For ambient, those temps should drop 5°± (F). The temperature in question is the temperature of the flower tops.
