    One down 6 to go

Thanks. I did connect with a national group focused on medicinal cannabis for vets but they sort of blew me off. One issue is that to stay legal it would have to be vets in my state since I can't ship any. But there must be plenty of vets here who rely on mj but struggle to afford the dispensary...

    One down 6 to go

Your family has a proud honorable tradition, thank you. Glad you have a week of sun coming up. Here in Maine after a wet start to October we've been having lots of sun and this week is supposed to be in the seventies. I've got 3 left in the ground and 4 in fabric pots. They're about done I'll...

    Harvest?

Agreed. Just before sunrise is ideal. My day today started with a 5am stroll down to the garden where I took down the Chinook Haze. Beautiful stars. Nice way to start your day.

Sorry about the poor results this year. Botrytis? But glad you got yourself a little system down. Trick those plants into blooming at height of summer!

Way to make the best of the challenges and overcome adversity. Nice looking buds there--seem very compact. Is that an indica-dominant strain? Gorgeous Indian summer day here now--probably will push seventy (F) this afternoon. Days getting short but the plants are soaking up some nice October...

lack of swelling due to Def or genetics?

New moon tomorrow morning...as moon waxes next week moisture will rise more into the plant. I'm only half kidding because I think there's actually something to that, though probably not to fix what you're describing. Still, if you're sure it didn't somehow get over-ripe suddenly without swelling...

lack of swelling due to Def or genetics?

Not feeding her a bunch of N at this stage of the game by chance are you?

    Move it Outside?

Could try just a few hours in sun for the first couple days? Just to make the transition a little easier? Assuming you'll bring her back in at night to avoid dew/frost and potential pest activity. Seems like a good idea to me--the sun will probably help her ripen faster/better than the indoor...

Thanks, wish I could attach the fragrance to this thread...out of this world. This amazing lemon zest/piney/woodspice scent without any skunkiness or other rank odors. Yours all down now? I know you said you had some OD still ripening that was giving you fits. This year I was just using up...

Nice looking bud, guessing you're in the harvest window now. Yup, started seeing nymphs last week on the canine, none on us humans yet but those bastards are so small they're easy to miss. Dangerous time, Lyme is endemic up here in Maine now. Everyone should check themselves thoroughly each...

    Maine 2021

Took down one of the Copper Chems before dawn this morning. Was looking pretty ripe when I inspected yesterday. Terpenes were off the charts, super lemony and spicy/earthy. Trichomes looked mostly cloudy with a few starting to turn amber. I think I'll let the second Copper Chem go another week...

    Maine 2021

Nice, seems like you made the right call. I forget, which county you in? Sounds like things are turning sunny and nice again here as of Wednesday but uncertain how much actual moisture we'll get before then. Certainly be generally overcast. Will just have to call it day by day. Only real rot...

    Maine 2021

Nice looking bud there. I started harvesting the Cherry Wine this week. Weather has been tough lately, the Chinook Haze is showing new spots of budrot every morning now, that may need to be the next to go. I think it's just about ready anyway. The Copper Chem is doing well, thinking I'll...

Dew point is just the temperature at which water vapor condenses--it varies depending on humidity. So like in the evening when it cools down and your lawn gets damp, that happens when the temperature has dropped to the dew point and water in the air is condensing on surfaces.

Agreed, these plants can take 40s overnight, even high 30s if necessary late in the game. As far as fans blowing air, I wouldn't bother once the temp. gets below the dewpoint as the air is so humid then. Def. would in the mornings though to dry off any dew. Having your plants spaced out with...

    Maine 2021

Just on the other side of a nasty stretch of wet weather. Seeing a spot or two of rot on the Chinook Haze the last 3 mornings (which I spray down with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution than carefully remove and bag). Funny, the Chinook was the only plant last year that seemed immune to budrot, even...

Not much better here in Maine since Thursday--humid as hell with the wind blowing in moisture off the Gulf of Maine the whole time, morning fog, overcast (although we had some sun and a breeze part of the day Thursday and a little bit yesterday), last night it dumped 2 inches, then fog this...

    Maine 2021

Getting into the home stretch here. Got one Cherry Wine that looks like she might be ready in another week or so. Others probably 2 weeks. Chinook Haze and Copper Chem probably looking at Columbus Day weekend or thereabouts. Not sure I'm going to need to go to Halloween like last year. Weather...

Spray late afternoon when plants are in shade. Get bottoms and tops of leaves. If worried about pm add some potassium bicarbonate to the solution. If you see live cats next day don't freak, they need to ingest the bacteria before they die.

Batten down the hatches, my fellow Mainers. Looks like some heavy weather heading our way in a few hours, including severe thunderstorms, heavy winds, hail, and maybe even a tornado (yikes!). Bring those moveable plants inside and make sure your outdoor ones are as protected as possible. Good...
