Surely is. Cracked a jar for about 10 seconds one time, about a minute later my wife calls up from the floor below me, "what's that smell"? Serious terps. and sticky too.

Means it's going to be hotter than a Phoenix parking lot in August! We're going to see some crazy weather this year. Can't believe it's almost time to plant seeds again. Still figuring out my game plan as far as fabric pots vs. in-ground, how many, etc. Definitely going to run more of the Pine...

    old flower and CBN

THC doesn't evaporate (terpenes volatize, maybe that's what you're thinking of?) but it will slowly convert to CBN over time as it ages/oxidizes.

Well as you know it was a challenging year here in New England. There were a few stretches toward the end where I was removing the bad spots every day. I probably lost about 20% or so when all was said and done. I grew it in a fabric pot so was able to move it under cover before any rain but...

Definitely has potential! I'll let you know next fall. Will try to make some seeds and share. To answer your question above, the Pine Tar Kush seeds originally came from Island Life Seeds in BC. I harvested some PTK pollen and dusted a PTK branch in my outdoor grow last year, those are the...

    old flower and CBN

Thanks for sharing your experiences. If it's in the freezer I would guess that slows down the conversion of THC to CBN. I'm going to make some oil with the 2021 flower I have on had and see what that does for lights out. I suppose another approach would be to do a late harvest, when most of...

Appreciate the offer but plenty of PTK seed on hand here from last summer. Go ahead and keep those or pass it along to someone else. Would love a smoke report on the PTK when you get there. Didn't you swear you were done with outdoor after last year's debacle? Just can't quit, huh?

Are you pollinating Pine Tar females or do you have other varieties in the room there? You going to let one female grow sensemilla buds or is this strictly a seed operation at this point? I'll be curious to hear what you think about the finished flowers--I was very impressed with those genetics...

    old flower and CBN

Have you tested your 4-year-old flower? Based on what I've read I would guess some of the THC converted to CBN. I make a coconut oil-based balm, too. Great stuff. Curious to learn more about CBN though and its potential for treating insomnia.

    old flower and CBN

It seems pretty established that THC degrades to CBN over time. I have some flower that I harvested in 2021 and kept stored in mason jars in the dark. Thinking much (most?) of the THC would have converted to CBN at this point. Was thinking of making some infused oil and using it to treat...

The fun never stops, huh? Weighed the harvest and ended up with a pound and a half of Northern Lights, about 6 oz. of Pine Tar Kush, and just an ounce of the Gold Warp (threw most away due to rot). Not a huge haul but far more than I need so plenty to share and give away. Thinking I may give...

I forget, what latitude are you at? Be nice if mine were flowering late July, it's usually well into August. The Northern Lights got rolling right around August 1 and finished by third week September which was terrific. I brushed a little Pine Tar Kush pollen on one of the Northern Lights...

Interesting. This one definitely got colorful in the final weeks, lots of purple. Very sticky but wouldn't call it "piney" smelling. Then again I just recovered from my first bout with covid (managed to steer clear for 3 years but with a kid in school it was just a matter of time I guess) so my...

Full Moon Harvesting? Worth the wait?

Personally I think there is something to this--that is, I believe the moon has a subtle influence on plants and growing. According to the Farmer's Almanac the ideal days in terms of moon phase for harvesting aboveground crops was earlier this week. I think it's generally on a waxing moon...

Hmmm...not sure how to describe it. It's heavy...I wouldn't say it smells "piney" but it still has to cure, just went into mason jars last week. But extremely fragrant with a sort of exotic spicy smell and nice smooth smoke too with full effects. Smells somewhat like the Tomahawk I grew a couple...

Wow, you guys are going deep into the fall. We haven't had anything close to a frost yet here in midcoast Maine but I harvested everything due to all the rain and moisture. Was able to let everything finish but botrytis definitely reduced the harvest on a few of the plants. Plant disease...

Got both Northern Lights dried, trimmed, and into the curing jars but not sure the Pine Tar Kush is going to make it. I put it in the shed during the fog and torrential rains thinking that would help but it really doesn't when the air is this humid. It still has another week I'd say but today I...
