    Northern Lights first Cabinet, Suggestions.

In a pot(s) mix 50% soil and 50% perlite. The soil acts as a medium to contain the nutrients, but using only soil won't allow for good drainage and root exhaust (the perlite provides this). You will see the difference after you mix it. After you mix it thouroghly, you should be able to run...

    Beware of Noob Answers!!!

This is fresh, this plant is fresh, I should tell you this plant is fresh!

Need help with first grow! Please

The soil and perlite 50/50 is nice. It provides necessary drainage and allows more oxygen to get to the roots. Make sure your water is oxygenated; it will make your plants grow more vigorously and make nutrient uptake more efficient. Ya, try to get more light if ya can. Not to knock cfl's...

    Question about Nutes

I would use 1/4 strength first to see how the plant reacts. When introducing a new feeding regiment to any plant, its best to start out with diluted doses. You would probably be safe using 1/2 strength but thats up to you. You could hit them with 1/4 dose, wait a day or so to see how they...

    Rwd hairs

Don't worry about trying to prevent it next time, especially if you are sure that you did everything accordingly, that may just be the genetics of the strain. Wait and see how the smokage is until you decide to not try this strain again.

    Question about Nutes

No, it isn't too high. Those are the standard NPK values for flowering but they do vary somewhat. Those numbers do not reflect actual nutrient composition. Only the N value does not get converted; it is the actual elmental content. The other values, P and K do not represent actual elemental...

    Northern Lights first Cabinet, Suggestions.

Nice looking grow chamber, clean and tidy. I'm personally against pre-nuted/time released soils. Neutral potting soil with a mixture of perlite (50/50)is better, nutrient application should be under your control. Length of veg time could be an issue cause of your limited grow space; flowering...

first seedlings, could use some input!

Seedlings look strong, but are quite stretched. Looks like you dont have enough light, or your light source isn't close enough. When a good root system begins to develop (start of the veg stage) you can hit them with a dose of nutrients (less is more). Keep ppm at a safe level, there is a...

    near harvest, need some advice

Yes, they are noticeable under your standard magnifying glass. You will need a 20x or 50x to get an ideal look at the resin heads. The pick Potpimp posted is a good example. The Trichs form on the bud and bud leaves.

    Wtf ...

We can argue about what the cause is for the less dense bud, until the cows come home. There are too many variables to know for sure. Lets just watch the bud and see what happens. There are, after all, weeks left until harvest from the looks of things. I've seen crazy stuff happen before...

Going to see Dr. Sulak on 26th - Thoughts on My Eligibility?

Thank you Tet. Wow. Only state I have found that doesn't require the caregiver to also be a patient. It is vehemently required in the other states.

    Wtf ...

If "ambient" or "tiny" amounts of light has been been getting in unbeknownst to the grower everyday for the last 4 weeks or whatever, I assure you, it could cause veg, at the very least will cause sex reversal. As the other part of my post stated: I dont think that it is a light issue, but...

Going to see Dr. Sulak on 26th - Thoughts on My Eligibility?

Hello Mainers. I have just one question regarding Caregivers in Maine. I was wondering if Caregivers in Maine also have to be patients themselves. I would assume this is the case since other states have this rule (as they wouldn't want those not being patients with access to mmj, much less...

    Noob Starting Out :/

Agree. Aluminum foil isn't ideal for a reflective grow chamber either. No matter what kind of light you chose, flat white reflects better.

5 weeks into flower wondering if 8 weeks should do the trick

Wow. Those plants are very tall for an inside grow. What type of light did you use to veg them? Yes, its normal for the bud sites on top of the plant to be farther along than the lower bud sites, as they form first. As far as the buds fattening up, you will need to tie the plant over like...

    Wtf ...

Ya, any light that gets in during your dark cycle can cease pistillate flower production causing it to return to veg, or go into the dreaded sex-reversal. Doesn't look like that though. In comparison to the first cola, it does look like it has something to do with the genetics. We're the seeds...

First Grow just hoping to get some imput. Pictures attached

Almost forgot, water temp is too high. Ideal water temp is 68 to 70 degrees for maximum oxygen saturation, as warm water doesn't hold as much oxygen as cooler water. More oxgen in the solution allows the plant to uptake nutrients more efficiently. Good luck.

KillerCannabis is right on the money. Ya, ppm may be a little high; I would watch it closely. Nice looking set up. Good Luck.
