yeah, i'd almost scrap two plants and keep two growing. also look into cd cases to raise your plants up to the lights to keep them from getting all stretched out.

i've been thinking about taking mine to 16/8 because that's what my peppers require to grow. I also want a high temp sativa strain that can withstand 85 degrees all day long. I love my weed, but growing peppers is a fucking a art!

i just started some peppers today. I through 10 in a small pot and put them in my veg box. once any start to sprout I'll transplant into something of it's own and still leave it on veg. I figure 2 weeks and then go to flower. I don't know. I guess I'll google now.

over time the bulb the bulb get weak, the ballast gets weak so I was wanting to test to make sure.

I had a hot spell in my area during early march so I opened the window for a day. After I came home I realized the electric meter is right next to the window. I'm sure nobody saw, but a little lapse like that can cause big trouble.

Would using a light meter help in determining when to change the bulb in my 400w HPS? Or would it not measure the plant range of usable light? And I'm talking about a cheap camera light meter. I don't know of vegetative light meters.

oh yeah, get a remote temp gauge from wal mart for 12 bucks. I drilled a pin-hole in my box and stuck a food thermometer in it and can read from the top.

I'd remove a light. I think you're plenty good with just three lights. and with all the mylar you may be good with just three. I have 3 42w in my veg box and that's plenty with all the additional mylar. But i'd find something to get your plants closer to the lights. DVD boxes work great...

i've been using cfl's and just jumped to a 400w HPS and I can run my hottub for a night and it costs more than my lights for a month

the first grow is three bag seeds I started with 7 and down to three. Second grow is 2 G13 and one ak-48 the ak 48 just went in the dirt yesterday.

oj yeah, I still have to light-proof the box. I don't have a room dark enough to test it until dark.
