Hello,
I'm working on a small box setup, bout 28 inch tall 8 inch wide, and 7inch in depth. Got a 150 watt HPS above and two 100w CFL's on either side. What I'm wondering is if I can use the HPS during all stages of growth or will the plant not like that...

Also once I start how often should I water? I am hoping to get FoxFarm ocean forest along with their pack of nutes.

as for the pic, I still have some wire management to do, and I don't think its too small of a box considering I've seen PC's gbox's that are very successful.

Going to get real Mylar soon as well. The HPS can also be adjusted in height.

The area where the box is has been dis-infected and is varmint free.

Thought? This is my first attempt! wish me luck!!

you can use the hps for all stages of growth with no problems.. hps are better suited for the flowering stage of growth, but can be used for veg with no problems at all..
as far as when to water and how often, it depends on how big of a pot your using.. a good rule of thumb is to put a finger into the soil, and if it feels dry down about an inch or so, they need to be watered.. also, you can pick up your pot after you've just watered and get a good feel for how heavy that it feels.. than every day or so, pick it up again and feel how heavy it feels compared to the just watered pot.. when it feels light, water it.. also, you want to give nutes every other watering once the plants are about three or four weeks old, starting out at about 1/4 strength of what the bottle says, and every week increase it by another 1/4 strength so that the plants get a chance to get used to the nutes and you don't nute burn them..
good luck with the grow.. any other ?'s, feel free to ask.. there is no such thing as a dumb ?, except the one that isn't asked..
