I don't know what sort of screen you are using, but I assume it is a copper screen. Have you tried glass screens? You can find really big glass screens that could screen a pea sized hole and it would be glass and not all metally.

@purplehaze2: I have four 5" round airstones all attached to a 40 gallon aquarium pump. The bubbles only trickle out of the airstones, so I want a stronger pump. I want the water to be roiling with bubbles. When time allows it I'm going to the pet shop or hydroshop and getting a bigger air pump.

I love those crystal papers, those are the only things I roll joints with. I've had trouble keeping them lit before, but most of the time they smoke great. The 1.25 size are just right for solo joint.

Are you giving them fertilizer? It is hard to tell from the pictures because they are so blurry, but it sounds like nute burn. Thats what happened to some of my plants when I upped their nutes to fast, some of the leaves got spots and turned brittle.

It looks like nute burn to me. My leafs have done the same thing on my grow when I got to aggressive with nutes. So that is my guess.

How do you keep your plants from switching to flowering if you keep them 12/12? Even under MH or CFLs the plants will switch to flowering, won't they? And how do you get such high female to male ratios? Isn't that always ~50/50 (excluding femmed seeds)?

You can leave the lighting on 24/- for veg if you like. 18/6 isn't necessary and some say that 24/- is better anyway since the plants get more light. Do you only have a single CFL for your three plants? You are going to need more than that soon. Also, make sure you don't over water your plants...

The upfront investment on a digital ballast is cheaper if you get a switchable one. Then you don't need to purchase to ballast for your MH and HPS. Of course you could always get a conversion bulb, so that negates that advantage I guess.
