Drip question & gph?

well we changed up the drip system & little, thougth it would be better but its not.

we got a 395gph pump going out with 5/8 line ( 1line ), it them goes to a T
& goes to 2 dripper ports 5/8 in on both & them. then they come out with 8 1/4inch ports. each port has about 1ft of 1/4in hose that goes to a T to make a circle.
them we cut 5 little 1/6th inch holes going around the circle figuring they would all drip or squirt down around the plants. well not exactly whats happening. only 1-3 of the holes has water coming out. now if u take the t off the 1/4 line the water doesnt really have any pressure just comes out maybe shoots 1/2 inch.
so wondering if the pump is way to small for this setup, or is their a restriction with the 1/4 inch line stoping pressure?
any ideas are welcome cause it was alot of time seting this up

I honestly don't know anything about hydroponics but it would seem that if you go from one 5/8 line to two 5/8 lines you now have half the pressure of the original line then you split that into 8 1/4 lines which gives you a total of 16/8 or a little more than 3 5/8. So now you have to cut that half the original pressure into 3 parts so essentially even thought you go to smaller tubes your smaller tubes have 1/6 the original pressure in the first tube. Or at least thats my theory. So hypothetically if you made those 1/4 hoses bigger you would have even less pressure. I would recommend two things, one wait for another opinion and two get another pump so that you can have 8 1/4 hoses running off each pump at least if I read that right.

Here is my 350gph pump with 6 spray jets.

The green spray jets just push into the 1/4 inch line
and will grow roots, if they spray on the bottom of the pot.

yeah baby, found the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the same proportioning valve we were using that has the 8 1/4inch outlets has a damn rubber mouth in it so it was regulating the flow & pressure it was down to like 10-20gph with it in. we tried 5 diff way to get it out & apart to get at it & none worked.
so we went back the friendly home-depot & got the 1/8inch plugs for the 5/8 hose & came out of it with those to our circles & now all 5 holes are flowing water.
damn what a pain in the ass that was, damn amateurs, lol

we will have pics up as soon as the camera comes back from being fixed

I am just getting into hydroponics. I'm running a simple DWC system, but I would be intrested in seeing pictures of how you set up this drip system.

i will have pics back up by tomorrow if my camra comes back in time. it is a very easy system to work with now that i have figured out all the problems. so anyone else can make it for less than 60$
