a lot of the stuff you want out of soil is burned in ash, rather than broken down and usable. there could be small benefits but I would highly doubt that they outweigh any common grow methods.

I just put 30 seedlings into my grow room and after 36-48 hours they are all dying. I have a 400 hps and some cfls. temps have been hot, maybe 100, but nothing outrageous. I did 2 things different this time. I used filthy rich potting soil that I transplanted them into just before putting them...

You must live where I live... But to the OP... I grew with daily temps between 85 and 100. May have lost a small amount of its full potential but it turned out to be a pretty average grow with no problems.

I've heard of people harvesting the top of the plan and leaving the bottom, under-developed buds for a couple weeks to finish up. Never tried it though. That what you're talking about?

No... Looks like a herm in that first pick to me, also. Even looks like there is pollen on that lower leaf. Does look mostly female though. You could let it go and get some seedy, smaller buds if you wanted. Still smokeable and you'd have more seeds. Could have been the heat. If you let it go...

Ive found they do better when planted directly after cracking, rather than letting them sit.

I used FF with their schedule. Worked well.
