I use fox farm myself (grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom) and they work good for me. Not saying they are the only good ones out there but they are differently one of the good ones themselves.

if you keep the oven at 140 degrees its not going to melt your tricomes. I have done this many times when sampling buds from a plant just cut or about to be cut. don't get me wrong it isn't going to be good tasting smoke or anything and real harsh but you can do it.

your 250 will get hot but no too hot, if you can at least put a fan or two blowing on it and maybe keep your door open when you can you should probably be alright unless its already super hot in your house then it may be a problem.

I would go with the nl and be prepared for some hardcore lsting if you want to get any kind of decent yield with that little height.

my space is roughly the same size as your and I use a 400 hps in my flower room with just a standard reflector and get plenty of light coverage. If you cant control the heat then a cool tube would be great for that, but not going to give more light coverage than the other reflector.
