    Yes polyethene is plastic, like thick black plastic damp proof membrane. The floor of the actual grow area will be covered with carpet but the room it will be opened up into when im working in there will have a carpet - I guess then if it's kept clean it'll be fine? Thanks people :mrgreen:

    Hi I am going to make a grow room within a room that is not used, the floor of the grow room will be covered with polyethene but I'm wondering is there any need to take the carpet up in the room that the grow room is in? Any advice appreciated

    Thanks for the help, I just wondered if the light on the nute solution was any probs. In the one I'm looking at the tray covers almost all of the res with very little gap either side so that should be ok i guess.
