i purchased a similar humidifier last year trying to save money. it cost a little more than the one you posted, 20 oz of water isn't much. the humidifier i use takes over 2,000 oz of water out of the air each day. my humidity dropped from 50-70 to 40. it's really helped me fight powdery mildew...

i understand, but the humidifier you linked would be a waste of your money entirely. it wouldn't cause any noticable drop in humidity in the growing space you specified. just my two cents, take it for what it's worth.

i had the same problem. picked up this baby: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Frigidaire-70-Pint-Dehumidifier-White/16225131 and my humidity has dropped to the 40's. you'll have to remove the catch bucket and attach a hose though. it literally fills up at least four 5 gallons worth of water each day.

that's not mildew, that's straight up mold/budrot

i've managed to ditch the herp after dropping the humidity and spraying with a mold resistant foliar spray

i just came across this problem for the first time. only difference is that i didn't use my airstones. going to dump out current batch and use my airpump

yea, my current grow turned out way better than my last due to lack of ph meter calibration. it needs to be done a little too often, but it's vital your plants development. nothing sucks more than checking your meter only to discover you've been given your plants 7.8 ph on accident.

thanks for the advice. i'm using my own tweeked receipe. house and gardens aqua flakes A&B, along with a few other additives

i'm just rolling with the res now. not constantly worried about adjusting the ppm/ph unless it gets out control.
