i dont think the pot size would have anything at all to due with the pH of your water/nutrient solution. depending on where you live rainwater can be very acidic, acid rain, and that will affect your pH level.

if you have a carbon filter or ozone generator those work the best at eliminating the smell. otherwise some air freshners, febreeze or something like that will help out

i think on a typical 15amp circuit you'd need roughly about 1800W to blow the breaker but its recommended that you go nowhere near this number as it still can be somewhat dangerous. i think its recommended to stay at about %80 of the max load so around 1600W or less. these are rough numbers so...

one of the most highly recommended soils on here is fox farm ocean forest potting soil. never heard anything but great things about this soil.
