    Security warning regarding Grasscity

First of all, I can understand an interest in doing folks from having multiple accounts. However, to use ip addresses as anything other than just another tool and as a clue to potential fraud rather than as proof, is fraught with problems. First of all, most folks don't have fixed ip addresses...

    Guess the Strain!!!

lol. that matches my best guess based on where I thought I had placed the plants. What makes you think that the second is the CVS and the third the DQ? I'd appreciate your insight - thanks!

    Guess the Strain!!!

I screwed up and mixed up my plants. We have three ladies here. One is Cherry Vanilla Skunk, one is Dairy Queen, and one is Pineapple Fields... but I don't know which is which. What do you think? Photos attached.

    Go with the Flow?

@tropicalcannabispatient , thank you for your suggestion. I realize that there are several options for growing medium should I make the switch, and will consider cc as well as others. @Jimdamick , I really appreciate the feedback. I am a bit curious as to why you think plant size will be...

This question was answered in the original post, no?

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

I've seen the video and discussion around converting the Mars 400 (reusing the chassis and drivers IIRC), but it's not so great if you don't have one to begin with - those go for around $200. Buying the Mars 300 at $70, on the other hand, might be an attractive component of a CXB3590 DIY build...

    Dynasty Genetics Thread

Sorry for the redundant posting but no one has given any feedback from my previous query, so bumping... Anyone run the Cherry Vanilla Skunk? If so, what phenotypes / actual flowering time / smoke info can y'all report on? Thanks in advance!

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

I think that part of the deal with the Cree bulbs is to use them with the right sized reflector (8 1/2"???) to optimize the utilization... In any event, best of luck with your grows!!!

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

I was told for flower to use 3000K-4000K. 5000K for veg only

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

"I'm currentlyusing spiral CFLs in for veg lights on top of my go green LED." If it's great, why do you need to supplement with the CFLs? If you want to use the additional LEDs for flower, consider using 3000Ks or 3500Ks.

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

Are the gogreen lights insufficient to veg on their own? If so, what do you use for flowering?

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

When I search on eBay, I see the cheapest under LED grow lights at $3.15 for a 6 Watt bulb, which is probably a true 3 Watts from the wall ($1.05/Watt). If the Cree bulbs at HD are $15 for $18 true Watts ($0.83/Watt), they're actually cheaper per Watt. That's not even counting PAR which will be...

Switching my socket CFL'S for LED grow Bulbs.

Probably better off buying the regular sized 5000K Cree LED lightbulbs you can get at Home Depot... better spectrum (white not blurple) and better efficiency.

"Area 51 LED" Information and discussion

You can place orders through their web site, but in the past they used to post how long until the stock was replenished... so I'd assume it would be a fairly lengthy wait, but I'm sure if you posted a question through the website's form you'd get an answer. I'm using the 4000k lights which...

CFL or LED for my grow?

While the link you show says it should cover a 2x3 area, I'm not sure that light will quite do the job. It's ~ 200 watts which would be 33 watts per square foot, which is on the low side for LED in general, but given the known inefficiency of those epistar LEDs, you're probably needing upwards...

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

Yeah, I know... late in the cycle, each of the larger plants were wanting close to a gallon a day, and those were the 5 gallon pots.

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

I use soil. I plan to use nutes during flowering; balanced for the first two weeks during the stretch, and then predominantly PK (with less N) afterwards. The mother was in veg from April until August. I have two of this watering system...

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

The mother plant that I put out in a 5 gallon smart pot last year in early May this year yielded 14 oz. The two clones yielded far less as they started much later - one yielded six ounces and the other 3/4 of an ounce. I was figuring 1 lb. per 5 gallons was a reasonable goal, but perhaps the...

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

Thanks for your observations. I really appreciate the input. Those look like 200 gallon 'pots' - am I right? Your conditions seem much different than what I experienced last year - all my plants (from an apparently sativa-dominant bagseed hybrid) flowered in mid August. Perhaps the difference...
