Planning for next year's outdoor crop

On the other hand... I could possibly move them up in 15 gallon containers and if they outgrow them just cut down the sides of the fabric pots and transplant into 30 or 50 gallon pots. If they're really too big for a 15 gallon pot, they can probably deal with high winds themselves!

I am using feminized seed for the JH, but regular for the LSD and BS.

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

Well I have to carry the plants up to the roof deck so I'm somewhat limited and my knee injuries don't help either. I may have some help moving them up there but I do need to occasionally move them around (high wind warnings, e.g.) by myself. I think that 15 gallon pots is as big as I can go...

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

No feelings hurt, but instead of throwing up more insults how about a constructive post instead? If you feel a February jump start is 'super lame' for 15 gallons, in your opinion (a) what size container would best match up to that starting time (39 N, eastern US)? (b) what starting time would...

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

    1. The glass enclosed roof entrance has lighting which I will use as supplemental lighting until early June. That is what I did with my crop this past year. 2. Why the hostility and accusations? Nobody made you respond to my posting, and if you can't interact in a civil way you should...

Anybody have details on Cherry Vanilla Skunk? For example, time to flower, yield, smoke report? Thanks in advance!

Planning for next year's outdoor crop

I'd like to optimize my 2016 outdoor grow. I can legally grow three flowering plants and I'd like to get them to yield as much as possible. I'm not planning to grow the highest-yielding strains, though, but rather to grow long-flowering, large plants, so that I can take advantage of the outdoor...

    Dynasty Genetics Thread

Has anybody run Dynasty's Cherry Vanilla Skunk? (It was a freebie that came with my Pineapple Fields seeds) I'm interested in getting basic data on it - what are the main phenotypes and their characteristics for example, how long to flower, stretch, etc.? I've popped two CVS seeds and they seem...

Well, it might be ugly but I built it

I have a need for more coverage from a light - I have a plant I need to keep in veg that's about two and a half feet wide.

Well, it might be ugly but I built it

By any chance do you have a parts list, specs, or PPFD data? I need a veg light and am considering a DIY LED cheapie.

Looking to buy marshydro LEDs ?help

A warranty is only good if the company that offers it is still around when you run into problems. Given the allegations of shady business practices of Platinum (apparently ripping off Advanced's name and photos), and their reliance on old LED tech, I wouldn't bet on their long term viability.

Looking to buy marshydro LEDs ?help

There's a perception here that the anti Mars bias here is elitism. It's actually math plus... The best LES devices are getting up to 140 lumens per watt, but the Mars are giving you only 4300 lumens for 140 Watts of power... that's about 30 lumens per Watt, about one fourth the light for the...

    The 12-12 From Seed Thread

Forgive me for not having the patience to read through all 594 pages of this... I was wondering... What's the range of yields from a 12/12-from-seed plant generally is (assuming average growing skills, >1 year growing experience, and proper nutrient, lighting, and watering levels)? How many...

marshydro and there reps on these sites COVER UP ARTIST

If you don't want crap and can pay higher than DIY prices there are other options. I went with the Area51 W90 lights. Six cost $1,000. If you DIY, you could probably make an equivalent for about $500. The W90s use Vero29s which are appparently driven at 2.4A, so your DIYs could be architected...

    20% runoff question

I'm sure that if you use the same strains, nutes, soil, temps, etc. all the time, that you can get things dialed in to the point that you don't need to know how 'hot' your feedings are. However, what if something changes - e.g. what if you move or switch to a different water supplier? Then you...

    20% runoff question

If one is using unamended soil, or in some opinions late in the grow after there are no longer many nutrients still available in the soil, then you're going to want to add nutrients (which can be organic if desired - my own opinion is that nitrogen is nitrogen more or less) at some point in the...

    Burning or Killing Seedlings

I'm guessing that those leds are way too close to the seedlings. They can get 'sun'burnt even if the light is not hot to the touch. Start them off 24" away, and bring them closer by an inch a day until you get to 12-16".
