everyone that has germed in a cup of water, what do you do if the seed has sank to the bottom, but has not sprouted a taproot? do you leave the seed in the water until you see it sprout out a root?

no...from what i read almost everywhere on the net...i was supposed to germinate the seed...get it to crack and show the tap root, then place it in my medium, and keep it dark and moist, until i see a sprout growing up vertical, then give it light. does this sound okay?

yes....they are legends! they are the first to start the white widow strain...go to youtube and type in "Greenhouse seed company" you can use a seed bank such as Dr Chronic and get the seeds from Greenhouse.
