I have a plant that it reaching the glass on my light, which is as high as it can get. If I were to prune it, would it cause the plant to herm? Would I stunt the progression? What do you suggest for dealing with height after the plant is mature?

Sorry, not trying to come across as an ass.... After reading it again, I see how the tone is harsh. I'm a teacher by day, so I feel the need to go into a lot of detail. I know, when typed it comes across with the wrong tone.

One more thought... I also think you may get more bang for the buck if you went cfl. If vertical space is an issue, cfl would be much safer since the plants can get closer.

That sure is a pretty bud. I suppose it makes sense that the plant's root system would not bother "feeding" the dye to the flowers. Are there any methods to manipulating the color of the developing flowers, to your knowledge?

Well, CFLs should do you just fine, but MH will definitely speed the process up for you. I use MH/HPS. Each has their own ballast and hood and whatnot, but if you got a lumatek digital ballast and nice hood, you can save alot of dough by just switching bulbs when the time comes for flowering...
