Stems too thin to support plant

THE QUESTION...
Ive got a ChemDawg (almost 100% sativa) plant that has very thin stems and she is only 6" tall and already wants to start falling over because her leaves are to heavy. I just need to know what people are using to keep these type of plants upright. Ie: a stake and fishing line etc...

***If you are wondering... in these pics I have put down a very thin layer of very fine white sand from the beach to deter the larvae of the fungus gnats that I had a prob with on my last grow. It is extremely "fine" and was collected over a year ago and kept in a baggy and was still wet today when i went to put it in their, so i know that I can keep the sand in the pail with the plant to conserve h2o while using this as a "Multi-purpose" tool I guess.

first of all nice touch with the sand ive never seen that before also theres a couple things people use string small plant posts...ive even seen people use those zip tie things to tie them to post ,...however i wouldnt recommend it theres some type of (plant tape )that you can buy at garden stores id use that beacause it stretches with the plant....

if u havent been blowing gentle air on them for at least an hour a day from a fan start doing so to strengthen stems, (after staking) if they r that weak. if u didnt know, doing this helps to prevent the problem u r now having :) btw she looks good!

Toothpick/chopsticks and sowing thread/fishing thread/floss/twine or any type of string. Tape two toothpicks together at the ends so that they're long enough to plant deep in the soil right next to the plant. Then tie the plant to the toothpick with the string.

@CN--- Thats a GREAT idea. I just happen to have a few of those around the house. Thanks

@xception--- I do run constant air not "on" but towards the plant from an 8" shelf fan for most or all of the light cycle. It could be, but im not so sure that wind is the reason she keeps wanting to lean over. I did plant her slightly deeper that suggested because i was worried that she would grow real thin considering her genetics.
it means a lot to me to hear that people think that she looks good. I learned a TON from people on this site and from books on my last grow (my first grow) so i pretty much just did the total opposite of everything I did last time.

@Beansly--- I do appreciate all the ideas but she seems to be growing pretty fast and im worried that if I use toothpicks she will out grow them in a week and then I will be taking the chance of breaking off one or more of the branches while trying to get the toothpicks off to replace them with something stronger and taller. Thanks though.

just poke a straw next to it to lean on ... maby get your light a little closer , just dont get too close and burn it , and if it continues to stretch ... transplant it up to the second leaves and let it go from there , meaning bury those bottom ones and cover it all the way up to the next set of leaves . good luck

*** on a side note...
For those not familiar with the Chemdawg strain... She is a OG Kush x Sour Diesel hybrid. Ive heard from several growers that she is one of the strongest strains available in the world but the prob that people have with her is that for a LOT of people (from what i keep being told) she is much too strong for inexperienced smokers causing extreme anxiety and paranoia AND she tastes like jet fuel and pinesol. She is gonna be wicked strong though so im sure I wont have any trouble getting the dispensary to take a donation of her.

Definitely make sure a fan is blowing on them from seedling. I have never had this issue and I have a fan blowing on them from the day they peek their head out.

The local dispensary carries Chem Dawg. I like it. And as far as I am aware, it is an indica dominant hybrid, not a sativa... But who knows.... It's hard to verify the authenticity of a strain in a store.

@Jeff--- If I bury her bottom leaves I wont be able to cut any clones right? Makes sense though if I dont plan on doing any cuttings. A straw may actually work, and heres an idea i just had... If i use a straw on both sides of her a can pour the water straight down the straw tubes so that it hits her roots and she dosent become over-watered or get nute burn. Sounds good to me anyways.
On your other point... Im running T5 fluorescents, meaning that she creates a ton of light but almost no heat. I can sit the light right on top of the leaves without burning her. Only prob with that is, if i put it right on top, the bottom leaves would get no light, just shadows, but she is safe from burning, she is 3" from the light rite now, Thanks.

if u pour water down straws it will create pockets in soil and also will make straw unstable and will fall over
and i run tubes about 2 inches away but u r right u can put a t-5 t-8 almost one them with not much heat i use them for side lighting with some 400w hps above

@CN---There are at least 4 different strains of the Chemdawg variety so some may be indica, but pretty sure mines a sativa though.

@fabfun---thats hilarious. Is that a "bean sprout"? Is "Jack n the Box" aware that they are supplying growing utensils?

@r1tony---I got here as a 3" clone so it MAY be that she was just sat in there crooked when they cut it, i guess i dont remember.

@d6250---Dude theres no way it grew that fast what lights/ medium/ etc are you using?

I read more on it, its pretty damn funny. how did somebody with problems like that get some much damn rep? isnt that for helping people? how can someone who grows that thing give anyone advice (no disrespect, not saying im much better)my first plant suffered from every single bug n deficiency known to man n i didnt end up with the "worlds thinnest cornstalk/bean sprout". haha

here was my first...

i only let her make it to her 3rd week of flower before i felt she wasnt gonna produce enough for me so i cut her up n made hash for myself. sure got her turned around after all of her probs though.
