9 Purple Kush under 360 watts of LED. Dunit 2nd LED Grow

So you're running around 6000-7000 watts for flower plus a veg room which is another 1600-2000 so I'm guessing its hard to fly under the radar with that. To get that kind of yield with LED you'd run about 4000 watts including veg which is way easier to slip by with. Would cost a fuckload to...

Because area has an exponential relationship to radius a 120 degree lens would result in 9 times the coverage area and 1/9th the intensity of a 60 degree. 90 degree will result in 3 times the coverage and 1/3 the intensity of a 60 degree lens angle. That's why I don't get the mixing of lens...

9 Purple Kush under 360 watts of LED. Dunit 2nd LED Grow

Every year in BC at least a couple places burn down due to grows. I may be paranoid but I know for years every time I drove home from work I just hoped to fuck nothing had malfunctioned and my house hadn't burned down. Never mind starting a fire, you'd have trouble keeping your Tim Hortons...

I think 60 and 90 are the only two usable angles. 60 for taller plants and 90 for scrog style or something that is more area and less penetration. You could definatley hang a 90 degree LED panel over taller plants and use mylar to concentrate the effort but you lose a good chunk of output any...

Blue Dream 800W Induction Lights SOG

I switched from HPS to LED and not only did I toss my A/C but I had to put down an insulated sub-floor to cover the concrete to keep the temp up and I still have a small heater....lol I think LED and induction have a lot in common in terms of efficiency and thermal savings. LED is certainly...

9 Purple Kush under 360 watts of LED. Dunit 2nd LED Grow

No doubt big commercial growers (except the legal ones in the US) wouldn't consider LED right now. Very familiar with the BC commercial game and those guys have it dialed. I used to build industrial control panels for a living and I've done some commercial wiring back in the day although I stay...

    Hempstar 3 Stage LED Grow

The first time I ordered I used CC. One of my friends ordered and used paypal. When I went to order the second time neither option was available so I emailed and asked WTF. The response I got was that paypal and their merchant account (visa/mc) had flagged them as drug related and they have...

Dude! You post like two pages of info and your question gets lost at the bottom. The only reason I didn't think you were a spammer was number of posts but other than that sure as hell looked like it.... ....anyway. At first glance sounds great. 150 3w LED's so actual draw probably about...

ISIS and Magnum are wired so just the individual LED goes out and Spectra advertise on their site that they are wired that way also.

I'm running a multi stage system so I have a light that is constantly in use for veg. For me it makes sense to have a light with a spectrum tailored just for veg. If I was not running a perpetual harvest I'd have no problem using the flowering LED's for veg as the plants certainly veg very...

You don't usually lose the whole unit, but you do lose whatever else is running on that power supply which is usually a good chunk of your panel. I think when Hudson pulled his apart it had two power supplies for the LED's so you'd lose half the panel. I don't know about the current model but...

Yes. I haven't found any selectable panels that do it differently. What I would personally like to see is a switch that turns off half the red spectrum which would leave the output less red heavy and thus better for veg but not lose as much output.

I agree when it comes to the cars. Toyota and Lexus have the same internals. Blackstar and Spectra, from the models I've seen, are very different inside. Spectra takes thermal management very seriously, Blackstar doesn't. I'd say it will take about 6 months of continuous use to see how that...

It was customer service issues and I don't think it amounted to much and all I was trying to convey was that the grower is obviously not affiliated with the company.

9 Purple Kush under 360 watts of LED. Dunit 2nd LED Grow

I'm gonna guess that the ratio of people who get a pound a light vs people who get 3 pounds a light is about 1000 to 1 Been at this for 12 years and 1.5 a light was always a solid result with HPS which is somewhere around .65 grams per watt. I hit .9 grams per watt on my last one and that was...

If you google supergravy LED you should find a link to a side by side being run between Blackstar and Spectra. I originally thought he might be sponsored by Spectra but after some of the arguments he's had with the Spectra rep on line I think it's safe so say he's independant so the results...

I vegged under a single ISIS-1 170 (which has an actual draw of 120 watts) and the flowering was done under two 357 Magnums (which have actual draws of 180 watts). I ordered the ISIS from ledgrowlightsdirect. The Magnums I ordered online also and I think the site was www.357led.com and I know...
