Plants are pretty tough. It should recover. It happens to them in Nature, ex: getting beat down from a thunderstorm, and they usually recover even stronger than before.

Two people can grow the same strain and have different results. There's too many factors to take into account to say any one or two strains yield the best, that's probably why there's no real solid answer.
