It depends on things like ph, pot size, plant size, and root growth. Most would agree that mixing in the soil would be best, but for instance if the plants roots are already well developed you wouldn't be able to mix it in, so a water suspension would be needed, or sprinkle some on the surface...

liquid ph up/down aren't meant for soil. For immediate results, go with the baking soda. Careful though, a little goes a long way. Edit: If the ph is real far out of whack, a soil flush may be in order instead.

It's really hard to answer a question like that with so little information given. The best thing I can offer, and I'm not being sarcastic, is study up on it. It'll take some time and a lot of sifting out the bs, but there's a lot of good info on this site.

This poster is incorrect. What is described here is a NON-SOIL mixture...unless you really know what you're doing, it would be best to stay with soil. And using grass clippings might be fine for some plants, but not the best for mj.

The biggest thing to remember with egg shells is that they're slow to break down and it takes months. They're best used as a soil amendment. They're an excellent source of calcium, but don't expect immediate results.

You'd be surprised at the places you can purchase plant fertilizers. Most chain grocery stores, pharmacys, hell even some flower shops. MG products are pretty decent for general all purpose fertilizers. If I were you I would stick to the pre-mixed liquids so theres less of a chance of...
