    strains for cfl lighting

Definately doesn't sound like it was a light problem, as you had plenty. You might want to look into what other things you aren't doing now that you were doing.

    CFL Heat Question

That's not aluminum foil you're using for your ballast right? If it is, then it could be part of your heat problem. If not, then I'd have to say just aim a good fan at your ballast to displace your heat.

    Ventilation

Sounds like the fans you have are simply meant for intake/outake. Therefore, keep them on all the time as long as you want fresh air entering. Second, my buddy thought he could grow in a fish tank a couple years ago. He hooked a huge battery up to a computer fan for air intake, and glued tin...

    Clone Question?

As long as they have rooted, I would wait a week and then you should be able to start feeding them nutes. Start off only feeding them 1/4 strength nutes at first to ensure they will be able to handle it.

    Leaves turning upward (simple clarification)

You'll definately want those plants out of that self-release nutrient soil unless it specifically says nutrients aren't released until after the first month, IMO. Just get some perlite, vermiculite, peat moss & top soil and mix it all together. A bag of each costs less than 5 bucks total.

whats wrong with my haze baby?

get it out of that dixie cup, put it in a planting pot with drainage, and let the soil dry up a little bit. The soil in your gallery looks soaking wet.

    a few quick, simple questions

    1) Using 24hr light is known to produce more males. Your best bet is 18/6. 2) Your lights are fine for a week or two but get some bigger cfl's and more of them as soon as possible. Try buying 6 42w cfl's for now. When they get bigger and you want to flower get a couple large 125w cfl's to...

    Help ?? when to begin

Personally, I believe you would do much better keeping them under your artificial lights than keeping it in a window. And they shouldn't need any kind of nutes until at least the third of fourth set of leaves.

    these tomatoes ready to flower?

yup, I'd say you are ready for flowering. Once those 'tomatoes' start flowering they're going to double their size. lol

    Critique/Help

You need the light much much closer to those seedlings. You have about a foot of stem and tiny leaves. You're going to want to replant those stems so that the leaves are only about an inch above the soil. Once you do these two things they will start growing a little better.

    First timer-looking for any advice(pics)

Definately too early those plants need to be big enough to support the added weight of the buds before even attempting to change their lighting to sex them.

    Budding streached plants

20/4 is a pretty poor light schedule in my opinion. 18/6 is an ideal schedule for vegging plants. And you won't see a sure sign of sex until you switch over to a 12/12 lighting schedule, unless your plant has begun to preflower. Get some fans to strengthen their stems. The buds may turn out fine...

    good deal? seed combo pack

Yeah man four months on one plant is a little excessive unless you're growing a mother. Obviously your flowering schedule is not working if you have an 8 ft four month old plant. What light schedule are you using for that plant?

    seedling question : HELP PLEEEZ

Pictures help diagnose problems, without them posting help threads is somewhat pointless ... IMO, there is almost no way a 3 inch seedling is already showing hairs, so, without a picture to help us help you, I'm going to guess what you are seeing is the new leaf growth. And 24 hr light is...

    Desperate 4th attempt and nothing....???

You don't really need the light until after they have germinated. If you are having a problem germinating, try using a different method, such as paper towel germination.

    Good Morning!!

6 inches and only three nodes sounds like a lighting problem. by six inches I'd say you should have at least 6 nodes, and thats an inch between each node. A nice tight plant would have half an inch between nodes. But then again, it does all depend on the lighting and care of the plants.
