I'd say get em in planted in real pots as soon as they sprout. If u want a big plant, ur gonna want big roots too, so give em some room down there

My hps does get hot, but I can keep it cool. It's puttin out aroud 50,000 lumens from one bulb. Do the math and try to get 50,000 out of cfl's. The heat generated by all those cfl's i'm sure would be a lot more than the one hps. My energy bill only went up 5 or 6 bucks a month with it too.

That sounds like a good idea there. Since all the FOLDS seem to be the prob anyway. Flatten it out nice and smooth would help i think, with hotspots and have better light reflection.

I think that if ur plant is strong and healthy u can take leaves anytime. People think I'm nuts for chopin of huge leaves that're keepin my tops in near total dark. But my plant has shit-loads of leaves, and shit-loads of TOPS. I just take the ones that'll offer plentymore light below, and I...

ya i get that about the internal clock and fall. It's been on 12/12 for 3 days now since the dark period, no signs of stress. Just thought I'd give it a try.

works for me too. Lined the walls of my lil closet(6hx4wx2d) and setup the 400w hps and no burns or nothin. temps top out at 80

Are u serious? Crystals Are good! They're great! The more the merrier!!! Those crystals are the trichomes of the plant, they'll tell u when it's ready.

I hear u can induce flowering indoors by giving it 36hrs of dark at the beginning of the 12/12 cycle. I hear it makes it show sex faster than normal. Any truth to this?
