5 weeks is a bit late for lollipoppin. But the idea of it is remove the lower two thirds of the branches, pretty much as curious was sayin. Think of it like a tree outside, nice big trunk all the way up with a nice bush on top, pretty much what u do to the plant.

Think I found my new light. 400w air coolable, digi ballast hps. My current light hasa magnetic ballast which is also mounted inside the hood and gets a bit too hot for my taste. Anyone know how many cfm's I'll need to sufficiently cool this? I saw some inlines on the bay anywhere from 150-500...

Okay, first thing ur gonna wanna do, is maybe check out the faq or do some searchin on cfl's. Soft whites are normally used for flowering, DAYLIGHT cfl's is what u want. Look at the bulb itself, it should tell u what t5he color temp is, or kelvin.... for ur purposes(vegging), u want 6,500k...

Pretty much as noc said. Taking clones is not reccommended during flowering not because it can't be done, but because of the extended time u'll spend waiting for them to take root as clones taken from flowering plants WILL take longer.

They should appear in 4 days or so, maybe more, maybe less thiough. Ur light, is it 40 ACTUAL watts, or 40 REPLACEMENT watts?

I've just kinda keepin them there for support for now.

I've actually noticed my stings that i'm using LOOSENING over time. I even unhooked one, and the stem retained it's position as well. For the first week i kept tightening them down to create an even canvas. Even ltd'd one of my younger plants to see if i can get a nice fat bush full of buds:-P

Nice. Those air cooled hoods should help alot to keep the temps under control. I've been lookin into findin myself one as well.
