T5 HO vs MH vs CMH?

If your going with t5 look at Oracle lighting I believe they are distributed by elite lighting and they also have a 4x8. Although for better light coverage id do 2 4x4 hanging them like this / \

What's best, flush or no flush ?

dang its been awhile since I've been on here. I'll iust repost this from another thread I chimed in on about flushing. 1. You cannot remove "artificial fertilizers" from the plant. 2. You can flush (leech) salts that are built up in the soil. 3. Wether you use synthetic or organic ferts...

    Trichomes color

Just wanted to throw this out there since you said you're growing BD. It's sat Dom and can take a bit longer than 8weeks to finish flowering, also by week 5 I had about 20% covered in Amber trichs. Amber doesn't mean degradation. Brown trichs on the other hand does.

    mostly amber???

If you reread my post I gave you the ld50 for ricin based on the method of ingestion. As for your second question, I havnt grown hydro but I'll try to address it since the principle is the same in hydro or soil. Flush to finish in hydro, you stop feeding nutes but continue giving water. A way...

    mostly amber???

@The Nine While I would advise against you ingesting ricin. There is no specific answer, the method of ingestion will play a role in the amount that becomes toxic to humans. It can be lethal in as little as 22mcg per kg of body weight if u inhale or inject it. Ingest it and it can be lethal...

    mostly amber???

Buahaha flushing, the "feel good routine" I won't comment my usual bit on flushing, but I will say this. The "I don't want to taste chemicals" crowd is very ignorant. Chemicals are all around us. The water you drink and use on your crops is a chemical. So is the air you breathe. With that...

    NPK

Alright young grasshopper... Wether you use organics or synthetics, both contain nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Organic fertilizers provide you with npk in an organic form. This form of fertilizer isn't readily available by your plant, microbes in your soil will convert this fertilizer...

virgin grower question about nutrient systems??

FFOF has enough nutes to last you about 3-4 weeks. If your doing a soilless medium, add a tablespoon of dolomite for every gal of soil. I also recommend adding hydroton (calcinated clay). Look up or read up on al taplas recipe. Also do not follow a manufactures feeding schedule, instead start...

needing help with a pH issue in pro mix

A reason you're having ph fluctuations could be due to overwatering. Remember that during the day it's normal for your ph to rise, and at night for it lower Yellowing could be due to high levels of PK. To better control the ph in your medium o would add one tbsp of dolomite per gallon of soil...
