Skunk Pharm Research in May High Times

Several times in their articles of concentrates I met different errors and absurdities that lower the credibility of the publication. This very specific topic requires a competent scientific editing. Imo, They ought to invite SPR as a permanent consultant.

    Winterizing bho

Passive or "natural" evaporation is perfect for those who agree to the presence of a background flavor of ethanol in a bouquet. When ethanol is evaporated without heating and vacuum, the resin film, or "skin" is formed on the evaporating surface, which slows and stops the evaporation of...

Planing to make RSO and need opinion

Fresh off the vine gives better quality, but requires more solvent because of the large volume of raw material. During drying the volume of material is reduced by 4-5 times, and the extraction process becomes more compact.

    Yields not turning out

What do you think is wrong? Even the short description should emphasize that a thermos or a jar filled with butane can not be put in the refrigerator and can not even bring in the room. Filling and soaking carried out only outdoors. In the freezer butane can only be in original packaging.

Advice needed! Tips on increasing BHO yield.

The liquid butane under pressure, the glass extractor. Not lucky, if you accidentally drop it on the floor. I would prefer a metal with insulation. @ Fadedawg - Seems this could be detachable part of passive terpenator?

    Making bho with no Vaccum

Better to use 190 proof, and not 151 as in the video (10:10). If ethanol is poured into the liquid butane before installation in the freezer, make sure that the solution temperature has not fallen below the boiling point of n-butane. Better and safer to wait until the butane to evaporate...

    Winterizing bho

Duration depends on the temperature. In a thermos with butane at -20°C / -4°F 50% of the resin is extracted for a half-hour, 70% extracted for the hour, 90% will require approximately two hours.
