If you herm a plant and use the pollen to fertilize another plant the herm gene will be slightly higher than buying fem seeds but if you pollinate the herm plant with its own pollen it will carry a much more dominate herm gene.
I would toss it out but if you decide to make fem seeds like Joker said dont allow the plant to pollinate itself or it will carry the hermie gene. Collect pollen from the herm and pollinate another female with it.
Your filter should be at one end or the other. I personally put my filter at the downstream end so it acts as a muffler. People say it needs to be at the beginning of the ventilation setup but that is just not true. The air goes through the carbon regardless of what end you put it at.
Rather than using your finger to test the soil wait until the start to droop a bit from lack of water and feel the weight of the pot and then water good and feel it again. Once you get a feel for what they should weigh you will have much better luck with properly watering.
I would lose the scope all together and when they are full, plump and all the hairs are retracted into the calyxes. I wrote about this in another thread too. I see tons of people chopping plants early due to cloudy trichs. I have had amber at 5 weeks and that doesnt mean they are ready for...
Hortilux has a great spectrum but suffer from premature lumen loss. I have been running a 600 watt Digital Plus bulb from HTG for a year now and it is still putting out 89,000 lumens.
I know checking trichs has been jammed down your throat but IMO those have at least 2 weeks left. I have had ambers after 5 weeks. I dont even check my trichs anymore.
