Hey guys, there was a death in my family Friday night. One of my Aunts died. We weren't super close (though we were close, if that makes any sense), but she was an awesome lady, and I loved her. So, I haven't been on line much.
I do have a great update on each style of plant I have...
I believe that your plants would fill in with more bud-mass if you kept your lights closer to them. You are losing a massive amount of lumens by having them so far from the plants. If you're worried about heat burning the tops of the plants or something, just get a fan to blow the hot air off...
since you're a hydro grower, I'd drop your pH down to 5.5.... that's closer to where you want to be. 6.0 is not horrible, but is a little on the high side for hydro..
I think your plants just wanted some nutes, nitrogen in particular, hence the yellowing of the leaves. Now that you've added...
Also, you say those are a month old?? How long did it take for them to root? My clones are usually well over a foot and a half tall after a month of veg... Probably closer to 2 feet.. I'm guessing that it took a long time for the roots to take...

I'd say that you can start them on 1/4 strength nutes now with no worries at all. They should respond just fine to that low of a dose. I'd switch to 1/2 strength at your next nute change after that as well... Say after 2 weeks of giving them the 1/4 strength nute bath. 2 weeks after that and...
I've been using the lucas formula for almost a year now. I grow 2 different strains, white rhino and a bagseed Indica strain of unknown origin but KILLER pot. :-) During veg I use super thrive. When I move the plants to flower, I stop the super thrive and use epsom salt. That's it and...
Just wanted to also say sorry to you all that I haven't been around for a while. It's been a weird life going on for me, and it's sometimes been hard for me to get up the necessary desire to post an update... There's been some major changes going on for me, and it's been hard to assimilate it...
This is my 2nd go around on my own. Like I said in the past, I lived with the master grower who taught me most of what I know. Though looking back on it, he didnt teach me all that much. I was basically just a laborer for him. I did all the bullshit work, while he did the important stuff...
Hey MP,
were you able to figure all this out. In general I do a two week flush. straight tap water, but I still keep my pH levels around 5.5. I do this because I assume that there is still nutes in the plants, and keeping the pH level constant will help them to finish using up what ever is...
hey bro.. to answer your question: I use two 400W metal halide lights in my veg room. In my flower room I have four 400W HPS lights. One over each reservoir. I'm switching all my reservoirs to hold 5 plants each, for a small SOG grow in each one. I've decided I like this method the best...
So, it sounds to me that if you want to grow using this system, then basically you want to take your clones. Let them root, and then put them straight in to 12/12??? Does that sound right? It seems to me like that would be the way because they'll still grow a bit before switching to full on...
I've been looking at your pics some more... I'm now thinking that what ever nutes you're using, you're probably getting enough Nitrogen, even at half strength. These plants are starving for Phosphorous and Potassium... You need to up your nutes asap, and the yellowing should go away, replaced...
Your plants are starving for nutrients (mainly Nitrogen, it looks like). What type of nutes are you using, and at what pH level? I see you're on half strength. You may need to up the strength. And remember, when pH levels are too high or too low, certain nutes will be "locked out" and not...
Also, the suggestion of epsom salt during flowering is a good suggestion. I use it as an additive when I flower my plants and have had great success with it.
Brown tips like that are usually caused by chlorine in your TAP water, and it's no big deal. It happens to a lot of us that use tap water... don't sweat it. It's when your chlorine levels are so high that they are killing the leaves that you have a problem. You have nothing to worry about...
Hello all,
I'm sure that most of you have seen them in either High Times magazine, or on line some where. Automated Trimming machines. Apparently you just roll the bud over the top of the trimmer, and it has blades under a screen that will cut off the leaves for you leaving you with perfectly...
