    Blue Ryder Problem?

Yes, I do let the top half of the soil dry out before I water it again. I use the lift the pot method and a rapitest moisture meter. It's only in a 5x5x5 pot which is really small and I never transplanted it to a bigger pot because it looked like it was going to be small from the start. I have...

Question for people who use Fox Farm

Yes, you can use both in conjunction with each other. If you look at the feeding schedule on their website, you can get a general idea.

    Fox Farm Nutrients

With FFOF, you should be able to go close to a month from seed without feeding nutrients. With Happy Frog, I'd start nutrients at around 3 weeks. You can feed with every other watering. For my second grow, I was feeding every 4th watering. Started at 1/4 strength, then watered the next 3x, and...

150 HPS multi-strain (strawberry cough, silver haze, new cross)

Now that I have everything narrowed down, should I get 1 35w CFL for Veg and 1 35w CFL for Flower or both the same? I had planned on using the 150w HPS from start to finish along with the CFL's.

Fimming With My Blaze: A Complete How to FIM Guide

Maybe I should transplant and give it a few days to recover and then fim it? Not really sure what is the "right" move

Fimming With My Blaze: A Complete How to FIM Guide

Do you guys know if I transplanted and fim'd my plants at 20 days old, if it would shock it too much?

    Nutes and flushing

You should let your buds cure in jars for at least 3 weeks. It will bring out the smell and the taste.

Lights for a very small crop

Yeah you're going to need odor control for sure. I guess you can use the ONA blocks, but I would use that for supplementary odor control. You need to build a grow box of some sort.

    light help please

Yes, you can use the 400w HPS from start to finish. The recommended starting height for seedlings is 3 to 4 feet. However, I placed my light at 28" with no problems to start. I wouldn't go lower than 20" if I was to start a grow right now.

    light help please

A 150w HPS covers a 2 x 2 area. A 250w HPS covers a 3 x 3 area. A 400w HPS covers a 4 x 4 area. 6 plants under a 250w HPS might be a little crowded. I would probably do 4-5 max. Again, this depends on the height you throw them into flower at. If you want to grow 6 plants, go with a 400w HPS...

    First grow- gonna' be crap?

My suggestion to you is to not grow autoflowers. I did for my first grow and stunted all 4 of them and only yielded around 10 grams. My temperatures were fluctuating too much and I fed them unnecessary nutrients early on. Go with normal strains because if you stunt them at the beginning, you can...

help with grow box and light heat issues help!!!!

With a 3x3 space, you should be good. With a 150w HPS, you shouldn't have heat issues. It wouldn't hurt to have a small fan blowing on the light though. Do you have any intake openings in your box? How are you going to control odor? What are your temperatures running at?

    time crunch!! help

In all honesty, you are still looking at 8+ weeks. You are trying to get this all done before school gets out I'm guessing? Edit: Never underestimate the smell. Your nose adjusts to smells quickly especially when you are in the same room. I stunted my first grow with 4 autoflowers that didn't...

    light help please

If you have the money, go with a 150w HPS or 250w HPS and screw the CFL's. A 400w HPS could probably get you about 6-8 plants with 6 being the ideal in my opinion. You would want it around 28" above to start and then lower it from there as your plants get older with a 400w HPS. How much do you...

    light help please

You should go big or go home if you have the money. Depending on how your grow space is set up (cabinet, closet, tent, etc.) I would go with a 400w or 600w HPS with proper ventilation of course. Otherwise, go with a 150w or 250w HPS if you want to spend less than $140ish. If you have even more...

    time crunch!! help

Definitely not. You will need a good 10-12 weeks or more if you start from 12/12

    fox farm tips? especially pH?

Ocean Forest is more expensive than Happy Frog and you get less, but it's hotter than Happy Frog in the nutrient department. I used Ocean Forest for my first grow and used Happy Frog for my second mostly because I didn't want to buy 2 bags of Ocean Forest to have enough soil for my grow...

    Question, Box Grow + CFLs?

Sorry, I misunderstood you earlier. I used FFOF for my first grow from seedling and had no problems whatsoever. Definitely get Botanicare Cal-Mag incase you to get calcium/magnesium deficiencies. I feed around 70ppm every 3 waterings, but that's just what I do. For my second grow, I used FF...

    Question, Box Grow + CFLs?

What do you mean by use the same soil? If you are away from your house for weeks, who is going to take care of your plants? And what are the dimensions of your box?
