Great pics ms. Thx.
My little pc case is still doing its funky stuff.
I have some new toys and genetics in there now and the combination has knocked things out of kilter a little, so I'm just ironing out the issues before I post another journal. It's all looking promising though. Once I'm...
Hey braker
As it only adds a few degrees I've been leaving it on all the time. Temps are still low enough with the lights on in this weather and the mats are designed for constant use.
Hey Crazytrain
I got an all new lineup for 2010. New lights, soil and genetics but I have a few problems I need to iron out before I go public.
Initial signs are very good so I'll be sure to keep you posted mate. Should have an update in a week or 2.
Have a look in your local petstore for a heat mat or a basking mat, they use them for small tropical animals. I looked on fleabay and found heat mats for plant propagators that should be ok to.
I've found it best to mount mine on the inside front of the case rather than underfloor. When it was...
Hey Xander
The meter sounds good. The solution is used to calibrate it so you know it's accurate. They usually provide ph4 or ph7 solution and you adjust the meter so it measures it correctly. Calibration should be done every 6 months.
You'll love the blue stuff. Work it with your hands first to...
I've tried a few setups in the pc and 250w is too much either for cfl or hps.
A 125w red enviro with a 12w additional 6500k ran fine and was maybe 5F hotter than room temps.
I upped this to 150w + 12w but used an external ballasted nlite and these emit much more light than self ballasted bulbs...
They do all seemdifferent. May just be cos it's a new strain. Do you move them around under the light?
Any time I burn mine the damage seems to be restricted to the leaves, I bet all the buds are still pure green except for the frost.
There's still tons of good green vegetation, so they can all...
Hey Xander
Great choice of wheels.
Loving the new avatar too. Not heard anything of him since the 80's when he did some UK gigs.
Sounds like you've done plenty of background work for this grow, I'm sure it'll pay off.
Good luck.
Merry Christmas DW.
Shack's right to harp on about ph. Get a kit & check what's happening with what goes in and what comes out. No point ruining a grow for the sake of a cheap test kit.
TBH I suspect the yellowing is just natural DW. All my grows were the same within 3 weeks of flowering...
Ooops.
Sorry guys.
I moved some pics around on photobucket so I could start an album for the new CMH bulb I'm using and forgot that they were linked here. I've restored what I can but I've forgotten which pics go where so there's some gaps I'm having trouble filling in.
By way of apology Here's...
You have a couple of grows going on JB. If you want advice on the party cup grow then I'd suggest not holding your breath and staying friendly with your usual contacts.
Looks like a touch of nuteburn DW. Give them a flush and back off the nutes a bit I'd say.
That last pic is sweet, and the group shots look really promising. How's the smell in there now?
Training helps to max the yields and keep growth in check. A plant with 4 growing tops will gain height slower than a plant with a single top, and multiple tops will use the light better than a single cola, especially under cfls.
leaves generate the energy the plant needs to grow and flower, and plants in a microgrow don't grow many leaves so I'd be inclined to leave them on. Removing them won't do any harm though.
