Cxb 3070 @ 1.4 amps and I guess it's more like 6-7" away for the closest tops, and if I put my hand right over the top it barely feels warm. It's mounted on a big heatsink though.
No I don't get any bleaching, part of what makes this setup so awesome is that you have multiple sources of light rather than just one, so it's a bit less intense and you get a nice spread with fewer shade spots.
I have plants up to 30 days apart under that particular light, the penetration with the LED is great because your tips can be 5" away from the light with an oscillating fan. So no, my canopy isn't even. I actually just setup a gavita on 1000 watt mode next to it since its cooling down, that...
When I built my panel, I plugged in the first section as a test run and had some flickering. I used ideal holders on cxb3070 and when I unplugged it I tightened the holders down a bit more snug, making double sure the contacts on the holders were making contact with the chips and everything was...
I have 12x cxb 3000k AB bin which is one of the lowest, if not the lowest, I'm in day 26 flower and I am absolutely blown away, don't worry about what bin you get if you're getting cxb's they're gonna be amazing
The B version has 2 additional wires coming out that you can hook up a resistor stitch to, or just cap them off and it will run at 100% that's how I do it and I have the option to hook up a dimmer if I choose.
For a nice reusable option just freeze water bottles, toss them in the bucket and cycle them out of your freezer. Used to do that with my dwc grows during the summer months.
Scrog nets hold things down pretty well, and you can put them at whatever height you want. Using a second net above the first if needed is always possible too.
I pulled the trigger on 4xCXB3070 and an hlg-185-1400b driver and I would like to know what is the best route for throwing a dimmer on, and is there a way I can just bypass and leave the dimming function open? I will eventually be using 3 of these drivers per fixture so if there's a way I can...
I've got 4x cxb3070 and a meanwell hlg-185-1400 dimmable and literally nothing else, need to figure out how I want to mount everything and what I wanna mount it to so I'm also interested in how he plans this coverage out.
I would go with gorilla hands down, local hydro shop has one on display and they're so durable. Never felt a tent that thick...gonna need a katana to cut through that shit!
