Cheers gum, some good ideas.
I didn't think about the roots but I used my old melted plexiglass and some glass out of the skip to make a mini greenhouse for her now. She should be ok so long as there's no lasting effects from the cold snap.
Thanks CHIEF.
I'm afraid I've been treating her mean though, so she doesn't look quite so hot today.
She's been outdoors for over a week while I fill up the case with experimental plants and the overnight temps dropped to 4C a couple of nights ago! I couldn't take her back indoors in case she...
My mistake, I thought you asked if it was worth it. On the basis that pet ether can explode and cause harm simply through friction I would say not.
If you want a complete guide try to track down a copy of Cannabis Alchemy by David Gould. It's the best study I've ever seen on the subject and...
I've tried it.
Pet ether is like rocking horse shit, you won't find it easily.
If I'm honest I'd say that you were smoking/growing shit dope. Just do more research on the strains you grow and you won't need to risk your life purifying crap weed.
Plants just need a chemical stumulant to promote growth from roots.
This site used to sell the chemical product required to stimulate growth from roots. I can't remember what it was called but their supplier stopped production recently.

keep an eye on them...
I'd be for cutting it myself CT.
Just insert a razor blade between the 2 leaves and gently cut upwards. You prolly won't damage either leaf. I've done it loads of times with no ill effects.
My take is that the plant needs the light at this stage or development may be stunted. There is no benefit...
Cheers gum, she's a little honey isn't she?
I've been timing the clones and they are taking 4 weeks to produce a new top I can cut from, leaving a rooted base I can throw into flower. I have 4 cuttings so I can already produce a plant a week which is more than I need, so a bubble cloner would...
I wish tamjam :)
The changes I'm making aren't aimed at a yield increase tbh, although I'm sure I could think of things to do with a few extra buds :).
The current rethink is more about improving my initial perpetual design, which was pretty good but came to a grinding halt when the fem seeds...
Personally I like 40-50% humidity but a guy on here called floridasucks has had nice buds in a micro grow with 80% humidity so it can be done.
I'm guessing the moisture is coming from the soil so maybe let the plants dry out a little and see if that reduces it.
Just my 2c gum, but I'd only consider feeding the old girl at this point. She has no cotyledons so all her food is coming from the root system. I wait until those cotyledons are spent before I start with the nutes.
Nice job teggs.
I think the 200w light will be too much for the plants though, might be worth looking to see if you can swap it for a 125 or a 150.
Are they KC Brains seeds? I'm told they produce nice weed.
Hey CT, your description of what you do to start them looks perfect to me. I wouldn't change anything.
I agree with gumball though, once the root gets to 1/2 inch it seems to fluff out a bit and those very thin hairs seem to get entwined in the paper towel, so I move them out at 1/4 inch.
